Highly recommend United Carpet! We wanted to put a runner on our stairs but had no idea where to start. From the moment I walked in to the store to yesterday's installation, it couldn't have been a better experience.I'm sorry I don't know the gentleman's name who first greeted and helped guide me to their remnants area. He talked through my options, answered questions and let me browse their large and varied selection.Took very little time to find what I wanted, and then Christy walked me through next steps - answered questions, gave advice and came to measure the area, twice! (My bad for not having her measure the upstairs hallway the first time to see if they had enough remnant to replace it.) Unfortunately, they didn't but we ended up having them install wall-to-wall carpet on the steps and landings instead of the runner.Glad we did - Jason did a fantastic job yesterday and we couldn't be happier! We have a 14+ year old dog and, after we have many more years with him, we'll have United Carpet back out to replace all of our upstairs carpeting. So happy to support a stellar locally owned business!
United Carpet has always been an exceptional place to purchase products for my design customers. Good selection and great staff. Nick Decker is awesome. A few before and afters. Excellent work!!
Christy at United Carpet was great! She helped us choose some much needed luxury vinyl flooring for our breezeway as well as carpeting for our stairs into our basement. We appreciated she was not a “high pressure” salesperson but just interested in seeing that we liked our experience. As soon as our flooring arrived, an installation date was set and all went according to plan! Derrick and Tony worked very hard (no slackers on this job!) and they did a beautiful job. It was a pleasure to pay for a job well done!
I was looking for some fawn colored cove base. I gave United Carpets a call to see what they had in stock. I spoke with Nick Decker. He said they had several colors to choose from so come on down and take a look.We found a color My wife was happy with. Thanks NickRespectfully,P.M.Ryan
Having carpeting installed in a furnished home is like moving to a new home with a lot of packing, moving, and unpacking. It can be emotionally disruptive. United Carpets professional team made the experience pleasant. I recommend them highly! After 32 years, we finally decided to update the carpeting in our living/dining room and hallway. Our first step was a consultation with an extraordinary highly professional sales representative, Jim Reid. Jim came to our home, measured, consulted, and reassured us that the installation would go smoothly. Moving our furniture was a major concern for us. The hutch, the grandfather clock, the dining room table and chairs, and other furnishings needed to be moved to remove the old and install the new carpets. After an initial consultation, we visited the showroom to view carpet samples. Choosing colors and textures was an easy process Jim helped us through. The price ($4200) included moving the furniture, the off-premises removal of the old carpet, installing the new carpet, and finally putting our furnishings back in their proper place. The whole installation was an 8-hour event by a highly qualified 2-man team. The lead installer was Derek, a 22-year-experienced technician.I couldn't be more satisfied!
