We recently bought kitchen and bath tile here and have been in several times recently. The showroom is beautiful and there are tons of choices. We were helped by Lynn and Casey and they were great. Both gave us great ideas and were super efficient and friendly. We had to go one last time this past Monday to choose a small trim piece for the bathroom. For some reason we were helped by Meg this time. She suggested a color for the trim which wouldn’t work with the rest of our colors and when I told her that she literally threw the ring of samples across her desk and told me that’s all she had. She refused to help choose another or even to answer any questions. She was rude and nasty and when I said I wasn’t going to deal with her she insulted me. Then when I walked away she started laughing. We went to Lynn who told us to come back after her appointment. When we returned, Meg again started laughing when we walked by ignoring her. This person has zero customer service skills. I’m not sure if she was mad that we came without an appointment or what the reason was for her rudeness, but again, all we needed was a $15 trim piece. If she wasn’t so awful we would have been out the door in ten minutes. Definitely not how I expect to be treated by a sales person after spending thousands of dollars there. She should be fired. If you go to Arley, ask for Lynn- she’s great.
We purchased 3 cases (per their calculations) of kitchen backsplash tiles from Arley, only needed 2 cases. Attempted to return the unopened case but they refused to accept the return because they said they have a 30 day return policy. It was 35 days. Nowhere on the receipt does it state a 30 day return policy. Not even polite about it. Planning on redoing our bathroom and was going to use them for the entire job. Not now.
Worst experience EVER!!! I ordered 4x12 tile and got 3x6 thanks to Samantha and Lynn in the showroom! Returned the boxes the following day. I had to repurchase the correct 4x12 tiles and was told my debit card would be refunded. Drove around to the warehouse where I was was greeted by 2 rude girls at the desk. One told me to unload the tile onto the dock. All 220 lbs of tiles! Guy on forklift took paperwork & drove off to pick the 4x12’s. He returns & sets the 4x12 tiles next the pile I just unloaded from my SUV. He begins to load the returned tiles on forklift so guess what? I have to haul over 200 lbs again. I drove away irate. Check my bank online 4 days later. Still no refund. Call Lynn and was told she took my paperwork to accounting and it would be processed that afternoon. Guess what? It wasn’t! Call back the following day. No Lynn. No Samantha so I ask to speak to someone in accounting. Pam nicely answers. I explain the conversation I had with Lynn. Well Lynn never talked to Pam about processing my refund. Pam found my paperwork near the bottom of the pile and was nice enough to process my refund. She even emailed me a confirmation. I finally received the refund the following day. I wish the rest of the staff at Arley had work ethic like Pam! Thank you again Pam!
Stopped in today and was amazed at the selection. Emily helped me right away .She was able to help me with measurements , size , selection, and texture. She made a process ( which I am not good at) easy, fast, and enjoyable. SHE deserves that employee of the month parking spot.. and a raise??.Definitely recommend checking this place out..1hour from Narrowsburg.. Hawley area.
