Reviews frequently mention quick scheduling and same-day or next-day visits. Customers note technicians clearly explain issues and get doors working smoothly, including springs, openers, and alignment fixes. A few reviews mention pricing concerns or communication feeling pushy, but most describe courteous service and problems resolved on the first visit.

Bravo Garage Door Repair are the best hands down. I was on vacation in Mexico when my neighbor called to tell me my garage door would not close all the way. Since I had called Bravo three or four years ago I called and let Jason know that I was concerned about someone being able to access my home since the garage door would not close. He went out the same day, fixed the problem and trusted me to send him a check when I return from Mexico; which I did within a few days. I not only appreciate his excellent and timely service but feel his fees are fair and honest. Thanks, Jason, for going the extra mile to help me out and thank Bravo for such a quick service.

You can stop the search, here you got the best. Since I moved to Yonkers I have never worked with such a good contractor. I had overhead door spring break on an old fashioned wood garage door. I didn't have a lot of time and have no background in this stuff. I found Bravo Garage Door Repair after some Google searches, and relied on the positive ratings and comments.
I'm glad I went with Bravo Garage Door Repair. Ian was fast - came out the same day, including coming out in the evening to accommodate my schedule that day. Reasonably priced. Explained how the system works and adjusted the whole system. This was huge because it was out of alignment and the heavy door would just fall, which created a huge safety concern for our kids (Until that day I wasn’t aware of the weight of the overhead doors). This adjustment/education was all included in his price. Will save me money and down the road, in addition to preventing accidents. All in all, very pleased with Bravo Garage Door Repair. Highly recommended and would use him again.

Sandra Painter on Bravo Garage Door Repair

My door is working like never before. I did the right thing calling Bravo Garage Door Repair and got lucky to get Bill as the specialist. My garage door would not open more than a few feet. I tried everything that I could think of and watched YouTube videos and could not figure out what the problem was. I started a Google search for a local garage doors company in Yonkers and saw this company rated at 5 stars with tons of reviews. I called and spoke to Patrick who assured me that a technician would come out today and give me a 2 hour window. Sure enough, Bill (the technician) called me and was out to my house in about an hour. As soon as he walked in the garage, he saw the problem, gave me a price, and said it could be done immediately as he has the parts in his truck. We agreed to the price and he got to work. The price was very fair, Bill was very friendly and knowledgeable, the job was done quickly, and most importantly, my garage door worked again. THE SAME DAY!

Pros - They did come out quickly & didn't insist on me replacing the garage door opener.
Cons - Communication wasn't good (kinda pushy), plus I paid more than expected as an additional "service charge"

Initially, things went well, they came over quickly, and said the garage door could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. He quoted $2100 for the installed garage door (plain white metal, no glass, so their cheapest model) and I agreed. He told me the garage door opener also should be replaced and I thought this was required so I agreed.

I received an invoice for the down payment, but nowhere on the invoice did it have the full price. Unfortunately, I didn't notice, (that's on me for being in a hurry, I was in the middle of something else) and since I wanted a good experience for my tenant, I paid the down payment. After that things went down hill.

After he left, the tenants confirmed that the existing garage door opened worked. At that point, I texted him that I didn't want a new garage door opener. He didn't reply.

The next time anyone heard from them was a few days later (Tuesday), when someone called my tenant and said that the install had to happen that day. (They had said they would give a day or two notice but they didn't.) The tenant said it wasn't a good time, but they insisted. I was never contacted by them the day of the install. A different company based in New Jersey did the install for the garage door (to their credit, they did not have a new opener which was good). However, they didn't send any photos or confirm the work with me, the tenant instead told me after they left that the installation was completed.

Much later that day I received a text saying it was $2200 plus tax, which was more than we had agreed. After a few texts he agreed to go back to $2100 but now it was $2100 plus tax. Interestingly, I still didn't have an invoice. When I argued that I expected it to be the agreed price of $2100, he said he could that as a cash price. When I asked how to pay cash, he stopped responding to my texts.

The next day (Wed), I received a text asking me to pay, but I still didn't even have an invoice with the total amount they were now expecting.

The following day, Thursday, the manager called me. When I called him back he was pretty aggressive, at one point saying that I couldn't hang up until I paid. I pointed out our agreement for $2100 which he said he wouldn't honor and that it was $2100+tax unless I paid cash. I pointed out that I still didn't even have an invoice. Finally, he sent over an invoice for the difference between what I paid and the new amount, and there was no line for "tax" but there was a "service charge".

So, I paid about $230 (listed as a service charge) over what I was originally quoted. Plus, without the tenants clearly telling me what was happening, I wouldn't even have known that the work was being completed on my property. Would not recommend.

I was closing my garage door and it would stop closing and then open back up. Then I notice that it slightly buckling in the mid-section of the garage door. I called Bravo Garage Repair for help. Smith came to my rescue. He put in a bar on one of the garage door panel and now my garage door is working fine. Smith was a great communicator, knowledgeable and does great work. From the time I called to getting it fixed and tune up happened in less than 2 hours. Will definitely recommend Bravo Garage Repair to all my friends, family and my clients that need Garage door repair and service.

Many opener problems are solved with sensor alignment, travel force adjustments, or minor part replacement. If the motor or logic board has failed, the technician will explain repair versus replacement costs so you can decide.

Scheduling is generally available most days of the week with morning and evening options. Call to check current availability; same-week appointments are typical and sooner times may be possible depending on workload.

Do not attempt to lift the door or operate the opener, as it can strain the motor and cause further damage. Keep the area clear and call to schedule a spring replacement, which includes balancing and safety checks.
