We built a custom home with Paradigm 8 years ago and had a great experience - we've continued to recommend them and came back to them recently with an interest in some new work. While we ultimately decided not to pursue the new project, it was so good to reconnect with the team and think through the possibilities with them. Their process has matured, with a particular emphasis on transparency and options. James is an excellent communicator - he really listens and provides honest and useful ideas and feedback. If we decide to build again or take on a large project we will return to Paradigm without question.

We spent close to a year working with Paradigm Homes while planning our custom home in Northern Virginia, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. James Lawrence was especially outstanding—extremely responsive, thoughtful, and generous with his time. He was always willing to bounce ideas around, sanity-check decisions, and think creatively to come up with interesting solutions. Tim was also fantastic and constructive throughout the process. The Paradigm team consistently demonstrated fantastic customer service and a deep understanding of the custom home building process. Their professionalism, creativity, and responsiveness truly set them apart, and I would confidently recommend Paradigm Homes to anyone considering a custom build. Finally we took comfort and Paradigm’s commitment to building houses throughout the Caribbean as part of their community service initiatives.

It is my opinion that Paradigm is not a good company and I regret giving them my business. Paradigm threatened to pursue legal action against me for my previous review, so I am posting this new review to ensure anyone who reads it understands it only reflects my personal view that the company sucks. After a year of working together, we lost confidence in Paradigm and took our business to another company that then built us an amazing house and was wonderful to work with. The new company was creative, kind, and kept our project on schedule and on budget. I regret giving Paradigm my business and wish I had found my new contractor much earlier, it would have saved me a lot of time and money.
