If you are considering a remodel or new build, you must connect with Brett and Village Builders! He is a talented and passionate builder (and perfectionist) who gives attention to every detail. Working with Brett was the best experience we have ever had with a service provider. We had talked about adding a fireplace to our family room for 5 years but were worried about making a mistake on the design. We talked to many builders over the years but as soon as we met Brett, we knew we were ready to dive in. Bottom line is that Brett wants nothing more than to make his customers happy. He is the all-in-one package - artistic, practical, supportive, on-time, thoughtful, attentive and just all around great guy. He not only guided us through the process of updating our fireplace, he worked with us on paint color, provided suggestions on easy updates to make our kitchen look updated and more. He started with a Pinterest board that both my husband and I had added to over the years and pulled all of the elements we loved together into one design. We ended up in a completely different place than we started and we absolutely love it! Honestly, he became a member of the family for a month, and we trusted him completely which is what we needed to get through the project. We will keep in touch with Brett and use him for every project moving forward. An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish.

We couldn’t be happier with Brett and Village Custom Builders! At the start of our project, we held several meetings with Brett to discuss our desires for expanding our home and potential options to either reconfigure or add on to our home. Brett eagerly jumped into all potential options and provided us his brainstorming ideas on potential additions and estimated costs to make sure he could meet our budget goals. Brett brought a unique vision to our project that fused his building experience with an eye for the design aspects as well. Once we dialed in on a top-level design, we entered into a design contract with Brett and one of his architects. The architect took the vision that we developed with Brett and brought it to life in an initial set of concept drawings. Brett did a solid job in relaying what we wanted in our project to ensure the architect got the design right from the get-go. All the detail that came in the architectural drawings was overwhelming at first, but Brett walked us through each of the details and emphasized the importance of each item so we knew what needed to be decided early on versus what could wait until we were into the actual build. When it came down to financing our project, we had to survey multiple bank options and Brett worked with each potential option to make sure the banks had the information they needed to work on the loan package. As our application package was finalized, he was responsive in getting the bank all the information they needed from him to be able to expedite the loan approval process and get the project started in line with our tight timeline. As the build was getting ready to get started, Brett provided us detailed information as to selections, when they would need to be made, and what budget we had available. He would use his designer’s eye to put together mood boards for each location in our house so we could visualize the look we wanted and how it would come together. He also knew that the budget was very important to us when it came to the build and selections and was straightforward with us from the start, taking a stance that we very much resonated with – He would be fully transparent as to cost and where every dollar went. He showed us this in practice throughout the build. From savings on concrete footings that he passed back to us to overages on lumber due to a crazy COVID cost spikes, he let us know as the costs unfolded so we knew what to expect and it gave us confidence as we went through selections and wanted to spend a little more than we had budgeted in areas like lighting and cabinetry and a last-minute decision to add a front porch. Throughout the project, Brett provided us the reassurance we needed and valued when it came to his commitment in being very open with the project budgets and actual costs. When it came down to working through the build, we can’t say enough about how great it was to see Brett in action in managing all aspects of the project. His attention to detail went above and beyond expectations and it was comforting to know that he was watching the build quality as if he were working on his own home. There was never a case where he settled to a “good enough” quality standard. He also had the foresight to see how each step of the build would lead to a finished project and used that vision to make sure things were done right from the beginning. With this attention to detail comes quality. Brett never settled when it came to making sure the job was done right. His experience has led him to understand what could be done versus what should be done and always elects to make sure his build decisions are the right ones for the future of your home. When we would talk through details of the build, Brett took the time to explain how he was doing work to protect the longevity of our home. We can’t say enough good things about our experience working with Brett and Village Custom Builders. They are a newer company, but their service, quality, and trust are the best out there bar none.
