Custom homes, whole-home renovations, additions, structural and site solutions, storm and damage-related rebuilding, and project planning with trade coordination.
Recent feedback highlights helpful communication, punctual site visits, and guidance during insurance-related rebuilding after storm damage. Several reviewers note efficient project execution under tight timelines and courteous on-site teams. There are also critical reviews citing concerns about build quality and site practices on some projects. Overall ratings skew positive but with a mix of experiences.
Our home was severely damaged during hurricane Helene, and was uninhabitable. Ross Davis, our PM, came out the following week to assess our damage. He showed up on time and was thorough in his assessment of our damage . He was helpful in assisting us with the insurance process, explaining issues that arose during the project and answering our questions and concerns. We also took this opportunity and had some major renovation and improvements done. Gina was incredibly helpful and patient with my many questions regarding design and product choices. Rod and Kevin did great carpentry and were always quick to see that problems were solved. Our project came in under budget. Brandon and everyone on the Red Tree Team were incredibly professional, knowledgeable and kind. Helene was extreme trauma for so many in WNC. We were blessed to only have a broken house. We are thankful to have compassionate, trustworthy, and experienced people to help us through the process.
Unfortunately, I have to look at the oversized tacky houses this builder is throwing up all along the ridges of my hometown and neighborhood. They clear cut every single tree even on steep slopes, I never realized that every single tree had to be cut down in front of a house as a selling point, but that seems to be the aesthetic these ham-handed builders are churning.out with zero regard for the beauty and wildlife habitat they are destroying for the unobstructed view or the negative impact on neighbors/community this is having. The light pollution from these houses without any tree cover destroys the night sky and kills migrating birds… very odd of a thing to do so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway where people travel to see stars and meteor showers. And what fall leaves are people going to see when all the trees have been cut down by Red Tree. Having witnessed their construction practices firsthand in my community and toured some of these homes, this would be the absolute last builder I would ever recommend. If you want something that looks like a four story modern office building surrounded by turf grass and pavers and don’t care that your lot was clear cut of mature native trees and looks as sterile as a yard in a Charlotte subdivision use Red Tree.
DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTORI have been a Realtor in Asheville and the surrounding counties for over 10 years. I have seen literally hundreds of homes during this time.If I am showing a house that was built by this company, I immediately have red flags going off in my head. Their projects are always questionable at best. I have seen firsthand how sellers get burned by this company time and time again.I actually edited this review because they have threatened me with legal action if I did not change it. Do yourself a favor and walk down the street to my office, and I can tell you about a bridge they built recently with no permits or inspections. It's really questionable and they put in their contract that they would not be liable for any legal action taken against the project. This is just the most recent example that I have come across. You have been warned. This contractor is questionable at best.
Kevin and his team really came through for us in our time of need! We lost our bridge in the hurricane and spoke to several contractors. My husband and I chose Red Tree because of their expertise, professionalism, and kindness. They got the job done efficiently while working with a strict time frame due to the sale of a neighboring property and suffering harassment from some incredibly difficult neighbors that tried to obstruct the build. They stayed calm under pressure.
Our company has worked with Red Tree for over six years now installing new roofs. We are very fortunate to work with highly efficient, professional builders. The staff are amazing people, always prepared and organized every day on the jobsite. We recommend Red Tree to anyone looking to build their dream home!
