My sister recently moved in to a John Balfanz Home and I visited her last weekend. The house was very beautiful, I was really impressed with all of the custom stuff she was able to get done in the house like the free standing tub in the bathroom and kitchen tiling along with a super long granite island. Also all of her neighbors in the Stockdale River Ranch neighborhood we talked to were super nice. And the views are great!
I’m incredibly impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of JBH. I’m from back East and our Family built homes years ago and I would often walk through different stages of the building process. I visited my daughter and son-in-law back in July 2025 when they picked their lot in beautiful Sycamore. I flew back in October and the house was already framed and being worked on. Fast-forward, they moved in a few days before Christmas and I finally was able to see the finished product when I flew to Bakersfield in early February. All the special touches in every corner of their beautiful home, as well as the Sycamore community. It truly seemed on our daily outings in the neighborhood that people seemed genuinely happy as we passed them by on our daily walks and also visited the area with the Pickleball courts and the neighborhood play area for families. I couldn’t be more happy for them.

Mona was incredibly knowledgable made the entire transaction smooth and stress-free. Bryan was great to communicate with and mentioned that he personally bought a home in the same neighborhood, which says a lot about how much their own team stands behind their product.One moment that really stuck with me: Before closing, I had a third-party home inspection done. When the inspector asked who the builder was and I told him, “Balfanz,” he immediately replied, “Oh, good—those guys know what they’re doing… Other builders… you’d be surprised what you’ll find.” True story.If you’re considering a new build, I’d strongly recommend taking a drive through a John Balfanz Homes neighborhood and then through a comparable non-Balfanz community, the difference is glaringly obvious.
