We bought our so called dream house from a Schultz dealer in Kingman, AZ. The home was a mess. Kitchen floor replaced 5 times. Kitchen cabinets redone. Little to no insulation in the walls or ceiling that we paid extra for. Siding was installed wrong and still have cracks develloping. It has been a never ending problems since we bought it on 2004. Poor workman ship and poor help. For the money we paid it sucks.
We bought Shult home in February 2020 and was delivered in mid June with severe damage of wall separations and large ceiling was broken off and missing. When house was put together then we start seeing incredibly poor or almost nonexistent quality of work. Mini blinds in every single window (15) were not working as workers drilled through the blinds it self to fasten them with 3" longs screws without any side holding brackets and blinds are about 1/2" wider than window opening.Every of three doors were leaking at first rain and water damage is getting greater as it still wasn't repaired! Window was leaking from top frame as there was no seal outside. Side door leaks inside the wall directly under the house making pad wet at each rain...still not fixed . Rear porch was designed that all rain water is freely flowing under the house flooding top of moister barrier and getting spread under house. Chips are all over kitchen cabinets with handle installed so crocket! Stainless double sink is covered with excess of silicone as opening does not match size of sink.We spent hours cleaning floor, master bath and shower and other bathroom from severe white paint overspray.Beams in the living room were warped and coming apart.Didn't get keys at all and all lock had to be replaced by me.The siding is another disaster...nothing fits and it is floppy and making noise with little wind. Two electrical issues were inside as they connected wrongly thermostat and furnace where on top of that wasn't installed roof went and was instead taped shut causing of course furnace not to work! Then they charged us $ 1,050 for porch glass door and installed just regular plain door and master closet should have mirrored doors but we have just plain doors. For months and months now we try to get this and quite a few other problems corrected but we are getting ignored!Right now we are in contact with our attorney and with several TV stations to make this go public before hurting somebody else with suchfraud we are experiencing from the company . They at one point send 2 workers over but company stopped them 3 months ago as "all" the documented damage has to be "approved"...but till this day Zero of progress has happened!I would never ever buy anything from Schult based on this experience. The blind would built this house better unfortunately!George Kubik
Went there with my husband and Brittany was not helpful look at us up and down her eyes made us feel uncomfortable & the lack of friendliness with less information this place will not get our business considering we had to practically beg for information and brochures not a good place to spend money. Try another place where they greet you and treat you with respect, this is not the place.
I bought one of their homes and moved in Oct 2015. I am not at all pleased with this company. Some of the electrical outlets are NOT securely attached to the wall. Pull out a plug and the whole outlet comes out of the wall! Told today by an electrician that it is not up to code which means their quality control does NOT exist. Will be contacting the company to see what their plan will be before I pursue this matter legally. Will wright another another review hoping I will be able the report that they took responsibility for this manner. But since I asked to have the outlets secured when it was still under warranty I have a feeling the review will not be good.
PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS OF ANY KIND WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!I began working with Rick Busbee at Clayton Homes in Buckeye, AZ on or around April 17, 2018. Per my sales worksheet/contract/agreement Clayton Homes required I put $500.00 deposit down and another $1,000 into escrow towards my lot. I put both deposits down on or around April 21, 2018 and May 5, 2018. I was supposed to close on my manufactured home around June 22, 2018 or within 4 weeks thereof. On May 23, 2018 I was informed by, Rick Busbee that I needed to put the remaining portion of my down payment ($4,000.00) into escrow as well. Standard procedure when buying a house would be putting remaining down payment into escrow at time of closing. Since I did not have an official closing date, nor was this disclosed to me up front at anytime, NOT even in writing I began to question things. Both my lender and realtor said this practice raises a lot of red flags; the property in question had not even passed title check for liens, and an official closing date hadn’t be supplied for me to lock into my loan interest rate. Both my agent and lender spoke to Rick Busbee questioning this unethical practice and both advised strongly against putting $4,000 of non-refundable funds into escrow – By me putting that money into escrow without anything in writing Clayton homes could take any length of time they choose in getting my home set and livable. Interest rates could hit the roof and I might not qualify any longer, etc. After speaking with an attorney and being informed this matter may not only be a breech of contract, but also violate my rights of disclosure I decided to have my advocate speak directly with Rick Busbee (Buckeye, AZ sales manager) and Bret Barnard (Clayton Homes Vice President). Today (June 4, 2018) we spoke with Rick Busbee regarding our concerns. We were informed that Clayton Homes operates on the “honesty” policy so in lieu of a contract or agreement regarding my $4,000 they would like to extend their verbal word that Clayton Homes is a reasonable company and they will refund my deposit if things don’t work out. I further questioned Page 2. Section 10. Oral Representations of my sales worksheet/contract/agreement; in which it clearly states the following: Buyer acknowledges that neither seller (Clayton Homes) nor any of its agents have made any oral representations concerning this sales worksheet/contract/agreement… After I brought up the oral representation portion they decided to cancel my worksheet/contract/agreement and have further declined to sell me the home I have been working to purchase since April 17, 2018.PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS OF ANY KIND WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
