My husband and I were looking for our forever family home for over two years. I contacted David Homes about a year before we decided to go with them. David was always available and never gave up on trying to make something work for our family. When we finally had time to stop into his design center, David and his staff went above and beyond for us. We can't wait to move into our brand new home.
This review is based solely on my experience with David since we have yet to build a home with him.David has been beyond generous with his time, experience, and expertise. He is a wealth of knowledge and willing to invest in his potential clients. David thoroughly answered all of our (many!) questions and spent hours with us on multiple occasions to determine what may work best for our budget and lifestyle. I cannot say enough good things about working with David so far. He is very experienced and has a pulse on the entire process and is very in touch with his business. He has cited improvements they have made to different phases of home sites - this candor is much appreciated. You can tell the quality is there and his prices include many (but not all) features that other builders charge for. Would highly recommend exploring David Homes as an option.
My only piece of advice is to go to the community you're looking to build in and ask the neighbors (specifically the ones who just completed their builds) for their opinions.I will gladly open my door to anyone looking to build and share my story and experiences with them. Showing them the good and the bad.For reference to one issue, I’ve added a photo of my concrete. This started 6 months after being poured and is about 18 months old currently. I have been told by the builder there is no guarantee on concrete and this is expected given Buffalos weather. Despite my driveway being significantly worse than any other driveway in the neighborhood and it continuing to get worse with each winter there appears to be no interest from the builder to address the issue.Another issue that was raised was both the front door and garage door were not installed properly, added photos that shows the light from my house into the garage… imagine the joys of the winter air freely flowing into the house and loss of energy trying to cool the house in the summer as it just flows right through the garage door.
We had a phenomenal experience with David Homes. What was so unique to us was how attentive and responsive owner David Stapleton was throughout the building process. His work ethic and appreciation for our business was evident, and I think his caring attitude certainly alleviated some of the anxiousness we felt. Buying a new home, new or not, is stressful! He was there every step of the way to produce the home of our dreams. I can’t even describe how happy we are.
