Dan Buffington renovated our home 3 years ago. He has always been responsive. Recently our garbage disposal stopped working and he personally came to the house to figure out what was wrong so he could refer me to the right person. He examed it and was able to fix it. He returns phone calls and the quality of his work is exceptional. He also happens to be an easy person to work with! Never an excuse on his part. The job gets done right! Buffington Homes just completed a second major renovation of our Kiawah Island home. The quality of their workmanship and attention to detail resulted in an amazing final product that feels like a completely new house. Our project was small in comparison to most of their work on the island, but they always made us feel like our home was equally important. We so enjoyed working with the Buffington team during our first renovation that we never even considered another builder for the second project. We live in the Atlanta area and could not be on site, but the weekly emails and photographs allowed us to follow every aspect of the renovation. Scott Whitson, our project manager, was always available, and Cathy and Dan stepped in whenever we had a question or concern. The sub contractors they chose were outstanding. We are thrilled with our home. I highly recommend Buffington Homes.
It's hard to choose one reason why I like this business. Buffington Homes built us a quality product and was responsive and clear every step of the way. The scheduling of the project was impressive and helped make sure expectations were met and accountable. Dan and Cathy and the rest of the team went above and beyond, doing things at times that were absolutely appreciated yet not even asked for. The relationship continues with their impressive maintenance plan. I wholeheartedly recommend Buffington Homes for any project, and we were very happy with our total renovation.
Buffington Homes delivered our custom home in early 2017. The build process was very positive for us because the entire Buffington team really delivers on their slogan - "we build it as if was our own". They are extremely responsive, trustworthy, accessible, and honest. Our home is beautiful and still looks new, and we have every expectation that it will be as beautiful 15 years from now as it was upon delivery.
