Reviews

What customers say

Two homeowners describe positive new-home experiences; one credits Kimberly with taking lot photos and comparing a similar street layout, and says requested imperfections were corrected. A prospective buyer reports being left unacknowledged until 30 minutes after a scheduled consultation and says the salesperson’s discussion of religion and politics made them uncomfortable. A homeowner also reports misaligned lights and doors, thin walls, and garage-door noise loud enough to wake a sleeper.

We just moved to the area and were meeting with builders for a new home. We scheduled a consult appointment for a new build with Classic Homes. We arrived on time for our appointment, but weren't acknowledged or helped until 30 mins after our appointment time. When our appointment finally started, we were told they were, "the #1 builder in Colorado Springs". We found out later this was not true at all. It's their opinion of themselves, but not an actual fact. Maybe at one time they were, but they are no longer are the #1 builders in the area, not even close. The salesperson began to ask us personal questions. She then began preaching her views on religion, politics, and immigration of all things. I was incredibly uncomfortable. I've never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. The turn over rate for Classic Homes salespeople is astonishingly high and now I see why. Not only are they not even close to the top builders in the area anymore, but I've heard nothing but horrific things about the poor quality and issues with their builds - from other builders and from owners unfortunate enough to have chosen them because of their low prices, which led to low quality. We have chosen another builder who is now in the process of building a $1 million home for us in the area. We're so grateful we didn't sign with Classic Homes after we were given all the information from literally everyone we spoke to about how unprofessional and just plain terrible Classic Homes has become. Leave your religious, political, and immigration opinions out of your work place. It's unnecessary, unbelievably unprofessional, and lost you a million dollar sale. There are a dozen other builders in the area that offer higher quality homes and better client service. I recommend Saddletree, Goetzmann, Toll Brothers, Vantage, or Campbell - lots of better options for Wolf Ranch/Cordera area.

Nice area at first glance- Here's just a few issues- -No residential streets are shoveled after snow storms making the areas very dangerous and re freeze. - people allow their dogs to go to the bathroom in common areas and don't pick it up if no one is looking - the HOA will complain about a car being parked out front, but nothing about snow mitigation. The house we bought has lights not aligned with the layout of the rooms and the doors are not centered properly. - the walls are thin enough to hear a full conversation on the other side without trying - if you are sleeping in the bedroom above the garage door, when you hear the door going up, it sounds so loud it will wake you from a sound sleep. I've only lived in this house for 5 months and have buyers remorse already.

From the beginning, the Classic sales team was awesome and went above and beyond what I had expected a sales team to do. We started our home building process from the East Coast and weren't able to physically visit the lot. Kimberly went to the empty lot to take several pictures and then went to another area that had a similar street layout so we could get a better feel for where our home would be located. Luckily we put our money down when we did as there were several other people looking at our lot. Fast forward and we are now thoroughly enjoying our home, our neighborhood, and our neighbors. Classic has always been honest and upfront about everything. Even to the point of claiming that they "have never built a perfect house" with the few imperfections I have found, I am happy to say that Classic has fixed everything my husband and I have asked them to. We still stop by to say hi to the sales team in our neighborhood. The design studio is great for helping make decisions that flow Cheryl was excellent at reading understanding what I like and bringing it to life. Thanks for helping us build our beautiful home!
