We just recently closed on our forever home by Cameo Premier Homes. We love it! Justin was wonderful through the whole process. He was always available to answer questions and made several last minute changes happen for us. The team was really wonderful to work with and the sub contractors were amazing. We can't wait to spend many years enjoying our new home!
Not a great experience. We bought our house about 2.5 years ago. We saw houses being built around us that still had for sale signs when we signed the papers for our house, yet their houses were complete months and months ahead of us. We have had to have the oven repaired, microwave replaced and the stove has to be prepared. The outside porch was never completed and one of my bathroom walls were never finished. The accent lights outside stop working and the circuits in the house have to be frequently reset. I absolutely would not recommend anyone having to go through what we had to go through.
I had the pleasure to work with Cameo Homes on a 2,740 sq. ft. home that was almost complete when the buyers went under contract. The buyers had specific requests to customize their new home before closing, and Cameo Homes went above and beyond to meet their expectations. My biggest complaint is the lack of response and attention to detail. We are almost one month out from a ram shod closing and the blue tape list has not been completed. Simple items like the garage door working properly.1.The first and most major mess up were the cabinets. During the design stage ,we were shown a particular stain sample. When the cabinets were built and stained, the appearance was not what we were shown. Brandi admitted the sample we saw was on a different wood. I was told by Brandi that the owners attitude was,"we stained the wood with the color they chose" and then sid we would have to pay share to cost with them for the redo. The cabinet work was a nightmare. I'm glad my mother was not stressed with this scenario.2. During design,we discussed having the wall in the kitchen where the fridge would be ,cut out 1.5 inches so that the refrigerator could be pushed back and be flush with the counters. Brandi assured us this was no problem They did it all the time in fact it was her idea. It wasn't done at my mother's house.Long story short,Cameo did buy flush counter refrigerator to compensate. They said it it was too expensive to rework the plumbing. We are satisfied that they bought the refrigerator however those refrigerators are smaller than the everyday refrigerators.3. I could go on. This was not my first "build". I was excited for my mother because the build was her first and more customized than mine. Wish we had gone with another builder.They rushed my mother at the end. I'm sure just because of the interest on the loan they took out to build. They got her money,and are even less responsive than before. Closing happened while I was on vacation. I feel they took advantage of her.4. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews. I really feel after being ignored with unanswered texts and the still incomplete blue tape list, they give us no choice.I've tried to stick to facts only but trust me there is more.Just sharing some of the shoddy workmanship with the cabinet debacle.
