I am beyond disappointed with the "service" from Coventry Homes. Once they have your money, they seemingly stop answering emails. I have been fighting for weeks to get basic warranty repairs completed at my property, only to be met with radio silence.

The current state of my "new" home:

The Oven: Completely non-functional after a botched repair attempt. I cannot cook in my own home.

The Flooring: The upstairs hallway has loose subflooring and wrinkled carpet. It requires a coordinated effort between a framer and carpet specialist that Coventry refuses to schedule.

The Fixtures: I was sent a replacement fan for a defective unit, but they have left it sitting in a box uninstalled.

Communication is non-existent. One unhelpful reply followed by weeks of being ignored is not customer service—it’s a breach of trust. If you are considering buying from Coventry or Dream Finders, be prepared to be ghosted the moment you move in.

Stephanie M. was great to work with on the sales side and was very attentive and friendly navigating through the home buying process, and Matt (warranty) specialist also was a pleasure to work with while we moved into our new home and settled things in.

Rating 4/5 stars simply because as we settled in the little things became more apparent. Portions of the upstairs floorboards are already creaking (been in home roughly over 7 months), initial problems with the sprinkler system were addressed (after move in issues were not covered in warranty), and overall contractor work seemed hasty (had metal flashing painted before move-in because paint had worn off, repainted and flashing shows metal, awkward cover in one of the bedrooms that leads to upstairs crawl space, could have placed another door instead of plywood with accent, needed additional insulation in attic as hvac contractor mentioned it was too low. Insulation contractors blew insulation all over the place upstairs and didn’t clean up . The amount of the mortgage means to me that these occurrences should be non-existent within at least the first year.

They have no problem canceling your contract and taking your earnest money. I have never heard so many ridiculous excuses in my life from Coventry sales, project management and warranty teams. Buyer please beware!
[I have been in contact with Customer Care. I have 26 open warranty requests submitted as of current date. Many of them exist from prior to my November 2022 close. ]
