If I could give this builders a ZERO rating, I would. I definitely do not recommend going through them, and get ready to read a novel of nothing but bad negative experiences with them. I am a first-time home buyer and have been put through hell, thanks to them. To start, when I signed my contract, the builder agent promised to make my home look like the model home, with the higher ceilings, upgraded carpet, base boards, and a few other things that I honestly don't remember now, because this happened in December '24. I asked her for it in writing and she said yes, but prolonged the process. January came around, we met a the design studio and she had no clue I was going to be there to make my selection, yet she showed up. I asked her for all my promised upgrades and she said she didn't recall that but she could give a $1000 credit, which didn't cover everything she promised ( that should've been a sign, but I decided to move forward). Coming June im getting ready to close and they kept delaying the closure. I paid for upgraded sinks, garage keypad, and selected a specific color for my cabinet handles. Well.... here we are doing the blue tape walk through and I'm missing the keypad, they installed the incorrect sinks and went with standars, rather than what I paid for. They did get those fixed, but they never finished the blue tape fixings. I've been having to chase them around. Anyway, the night before closing, literally night before my closing date, the lender realized the builder never sent my final figure with the design studio, mind you I've already give a notice at my rental and was basically waiting for keys... and my loan was all sorts of messed up and more money was required, which between the builder and my agent was sorted out, but still stressful to the max. They are full of false promises, shitty finishes and I'm am beyond frustrated with them. Im ONE day into my BRAND NEW HOME and plaster is cracked and falling. Additially, once I moved in, I realized I have black door knobs and silber hinges. They can say whatever but I paid for and upgrade and the builder agent promised to changed the hinges. Typical for them at this point, the next day she apologized and said she couldn't. I keep having to chase them around to finish all their crappy work they didnt finish. Their HOA document states the garbage is included in it, yet it turns out it isn't so another apology. My oven has a loose seal thar they just keep trying to pop back in and it is BROKEN. These guys are in for a lawsuit after so many meaningless apologies. DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM NOR OVATION HOMES, AS THEY ARE THE SAME THING. This is not what home ownership should be, on a brand new build. I hope my pictures are added but if not I will be sure to make a new post. If you have a sign contract with these builder, save ALL your documents and be cautious.

They got 2 stars because I have a house. They lost 3 stars for everything else. Here are the headaches that we ran into after we've lived in our house for 3 years:

1) We asked throughout the entire building process if price inflation would increase our price. We were constantly told no they wouldn't. It was a month before we closed that they informed us that we would have to pay an extra $20,000 for wood. We looked back at when money was pulled out of the account and turns out they had known for 6 months, but only informed us a month before move in.
2) They hire incompetent workers. I have never once left a review because it takes a lot to bother me, but they hired at least 3 different people to annoy me enough to almost write reviews. From the start we were lied to constantly by our agent. We were told that the garage would be finished (it wasn't). We were told that some extra cabinetry would be $200 (it was multiple grand). We were told there would be doors to the sitting room (we found out there wouldn't be after it was too late to add them). Honestly I know that there was a lot more she said, but I've tried to block out every conversation from my mind. Second the supervisor was horrible. He obviously didn't care for our home, we spent a full month asking for a fix for split doors and his eventual fix was to put 2 seconds of effort into 2 of our 10+ doors that had split wood where they were screwed into the hinge because no pilot hole was drilled. Finally the electrician obviously didn't know what he was doing because our AC went out this summer after only 3 years because it was wired totally incorrectly. The repair man had no idea how it had ever worked.

3) This wasn't a one off experience. I think every single person in our neighborhood that we talked to had primarily negative experiences with them. The most common thing I've heard is that they made a mistake and pretended like it never happened. They had zero responsibility.

I wouldn't ever recommend them for something as important as building a new house. There are more small things that I am more understanding of, but I think at this point the stress caused by them has taken off 5+ years of my life, and that's assuming the electrician didn't mess anything else up which will kill me when I sleep tonight.

Good news is I have a house. That's about it.

Stephanie Johnson! We do love her! She is the gem of aspire! If you do choose to go with aspire she is the one you want in your corner! My wife and I had a less than good experience with aspire but Stephanie did all she could to help make it better! We can’t thank her enough for trying and always being in our corner! She really is so amazing and really helped us! Again if you do go with aspire make sure it’s with Stephanie. If you want our thoughts on aspire look for my wife’s review so you make sure to go in with open eyes! Steph thank you for your help continuously and never failing to keep pushing through good and bad! My wife’s review is under Madi Hale if you want to know our thoughts on aspire! Again that being said, nothing but good to say on Stephanie!

This review is not low because of Stephanie! It’s low because of the builder. He told us we would have landscaping covered and on our final walkthrough had his agent tell us that we then had to pay for all landscaping. He messed up and didn’t take any credit for it or apologize for anything. Steph did the most she could to get us some resolution but was not successful. But that’s not because of her that’s because of Brad. We can’t say we recommend this builder as he knew about this landscaping and had someone reach out to the landscaper with a plan of our house. That got our hopes up. He then knew about the landscaping mistake 2 weeks prior to us finding out. He also silenced the landscaper who was trying to do the right thing and tell us when he knew. Finding out the week before closing knowing that they knew 2 weeks prior was such a burn to us. It made us so mad and then Brad went silent. He didn’t tell us sorry or anything. He also refused to talk to our realtor. We were told we would get something toward landscaping and here we are with nothing but a 12000 bill. Our realtor who is a single mother of 4 took 2500 out of her commission to help us but this builder who makes much more money and has the ability and really should’ve come up with money or something to get us a resolution didn’t. He went silent worried about liability. But he didn’t say anything. Not one word and now that we are closed and moved in he won’t care about us. I can’t say I would recommend this builder at all. The only thing is he builds a sound house. He is not a good person who I would support and has we known he would be like this we would’ve never went in contract with him. I would give no stars if I could. However Steph his agent was working hard to get us some money or even an apology but had no luck. But she tried which means more than she would ever know. She showed up and helped us more than he ever would’ve. She was great and I recommend her 5/5 for sure. But Brad and aspire gets a 0/5. Don’t go with this company he won’t care about you he only cares about his image and his money staying in his pocket. Very disappointed.

Stacy Wilson on Aspire Homes Utah

We are loving our new home built by Aspire Homes of Utah! Building a home is a long and stressful process but Aspire made it an easy and enjoyable experience. From the beginning, Amy made us feel like family. She promptly answered any questions and addressed any concerns that came up. She had our back as we observed the building process and was mindful of what we wanted our home to be.

Aspire was flexible and willing to help us make this "our" home. From the structural plans to the design plans, we felt like they had our best interest at heart and were willing to create our dream home. They went above and beyond to structurally design exactly what we wanted and provided beautiful design options for us to choose from-all at a reasonable price.

Not only are all the decisions of home building stressful, but staying within your budget is often difficult. The one thing I loved about Aspire was that their standard design options were above standard quality. They were beautiful and great quality so we didn't feel as if we had to make many expensive upgrades. Even when we did choose to upgrade, the prices were reasonable.

Throughout the building process, and especially at the final walk through, we felt the employees of Aspire were there for us! They made us feel so comfortable and helped us observe intently to make sure everything was done well.

Thank you Aspire for building our dream home and helping us create a wonderful place for our family to live! Amy, Ben, Andrew, Braxton, Wayne, Carrie and everyone else who have helped in any way- we are very grateful for you!
