Finally, getting around to this review! I closed on my Maronda house last December. House is perfect & no issues after the one year mark. It’s important to remember you’re buying the finished product & not the building process. I’ll definitely buy another Maronda home as an investment to possibly rent out. I recommend 100%
??????????I had a wonderful experience working with Elizabeth Wildman at Matonda New Construction Homes off Bayshore Avenue in Port St. Lucie. She took her time to walk me through the different floor plans, explained the inventory list in detail, and even shared information about the upcoming lots that will soon be available to build on.As a Realtor, I truly appreciate when a sales agent goes above and beyond to not only assist clients but also take the time to educate Realtors on what’s new and up-and-coming with the community. Elizabeth’s professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to share information makes her a true asset to Maronda Homes and a pleasure to work with.Highly recommend connecting with her if you’re looking into new construction in the area!
******PLEASE SEE UPDATE BELOW******Serious Quality Issues & Lack of AccountabilityWe’ve had multiple issues with Maronda and have been met with excuses and delays instead of real solutions. Here’s what we’ve dealt with:Driveway Damage Due to Negligence – Heavy equipment was driven over our driveway while the concrete was still curing, leaving permanent tire marks and debris embedded in the surface. We raised this issue before it became permanent, but nothing was done. Meanwhile, our neighbors’ driveways—completed later —had no such damage.Sod Installation Problems – The sod was not watered properly, leading to large dead patches, and not enough was installed to fully cover our yard. Instead of addressing it, we were left with an uneven, patchy lawn.Drainage Issues – The swale drainage liner was not properly connected in multiple areas, creating potential flooding and erosion issues.Attempted to Use Damaged Roofing Materials – They initially tried to install damaged and possibly waterlogged materials on our roof. When we raised concerns, our manager insisted it was "fine"—until his supervisor overruled him. This should never have been an issue in the first place. The biggest frustration? We’ve had to push for every single correction. Instead of addressing problems proactively, we’ve had to chase them down for solutions. We paid a lot of money for this home, and we expect it to be built correctly. These kinds of issues should not happen, and the lack of accountability is disappointing. We are still waiting for them to make things right. If they do, we’ll update this review. But as of now, we cannot recommend them based on our experience.******UPDATE******Month 3 of waiting for the Driveway to clear as recommended see the response to review, and do not communicate any other way, our driveway has begun to crack all through the spots that were damaged. Please see pictures. I’ve contacted outside vendors for their suggestions and they have said on numerous occasions that they can only remove the entire driveway and re-pour. We want to like them we really do. But this is unacceptable. My next step is the BBB and even possibly a lawsuit. They want us to wait and be patient. If we wait the warranty and their liability will be gone. They were not patient with accepting our money. They got a lot of money from selling our mortgage be extremely cautious if doing business with them, make sure you pay for an inspector that works for you it’s worth the 500-1000 dollars.
These are some really good made homes. Customer service is excellent, my realtor was Jennifer from the model she’s professional and knowledgeable very informative, information of the process emailed to you step by step I was surprised how efficient the builder/ contractor was great guy.
Joyce Hewitt is the consummate professional within the real estate industry! She knows her stuff and was very attentive in person as well as other forms of communication such as phone or email.Outside of Maronda Home Builders offering outstanding models to choose from, the attention-to-detail can not go understated and is highly commendable. Their website is user-friendly and allows the home buyer the ability to research current inventory as well as available lots in which one can build their respective "Dream Home." How cool is that to have access to options such as this right at your finger tips?Thank you Joyce Hewitt for a job well-done and we can't wait to move in our new home (Willow Model) during Winter 2021!
