They didn’t really look at the unit to assess the issue. Made an assumption based on the manufacturer and looking at the inside unit for about 5 seconds before recommending replacement. Only took pictures of the outside unit from about a foot away. I appreciated that they were able to come same day and later in the day at that. But I have someone else coming to do a more thorough review tomorrow before jumping to replacing.

Edit since I can’t reply to the below message:

I was more so hoping to have someone actually troubleshoot the issue. I can appreciate the technician not wanting to waste their time but I advised the approximate age of the system when the appointment was scheduled. If age is an issue we could’ve saved everyone’s time and not scheduled the appointment.

He did a fabulous job diagnosing our AC and electrical issues and took the time to clearly explain what was going on. We especially appreciated how he walked us through different solutions and made sure we truly understood our options before making any decisions.

No pressure — just honest guidance and excellent service. We would absolutely call Egbert’s again and highly recommend Chris!

So we had a proposal written by Matt and he was absolutely awesome. He spent more than a couple of hours with us to get the best option that we could get, he didn't give up on us no matter what and I have never seen such great customer service like this in my entire life. I strongly recommend this company for any type of heating or cooling needs because they would rather work with people instead of leaving them hanging to figure it out for themselves.
