Although it is his day off, Ray came to my house today to diagnose and repair a noisy solenoid in my over forty year old Weil-McLain heating boiler. He quickly knew what was wrong and cheerfully replaced a part, tested others and made sure the boiler will last us some more years. I highly recommend him as he is knowledgeable (Masters in Engineering) politely explains the repairs while getting his hands dirty in a cramped space and then charges a very reasonable price. Clear communication from this company from start to finish. A real person answered the phone and had Ray their technician called me right away. I have an old furnace that stopped making heat and Ray diagnosed the issue right away, made the repair and triple checked that the furnace worked before he left. He knows his stuff and gets to work right away. Ray is highly skilled and his work product shows that. You won’t be sold something you don’t need, or be charged for something that didn’t need to be done.
We have a rather sophisiticated Hybrid solar domestic hot water system at our house in West Vancouver. It includes evacuated tube solar panels that heat water in a storage tank with an on demand tankelss water heater that automatically takes over when the solar does not produce enough hot water on its own. It had been working well for many years. I hired Mannix to replace the Solar Water Heater storage tank which was 20 years old and starting to fail and leak. We also needed to recharge the system's propylene Glycol loop. Ray was very professional and friendly. He communicated clearly. He found a replacement tank that is much better than the that one we had! - the new one is made of stainless steel with a stainless steel heat exchanger. Ray removed the old tank and disposed of it for us. While installing the new tank he upgraded the pipe connections with shutoff/bypass valves to make maintenance easier going forward. He also did a great job on the propylene glycol loop which is pretty advanced stuff. The system is now back on line and humming smoothly.I can definitely recommend Ray and Mannix Heating and Air CoOnditioning for any of your plumbing or heating projects.
I have had Mannix for repairs and service of our old gas furnace for more than 20 years. In all those years I have always been impressed by their professional and friendly service.This made Mannix the obvious choice when or 60 year old gas furnace finally gave up. After inspection I received a number of options together with explanations on the pros and cons of each option. With our place being fairly small and located in Deep Cove (wet winter climate) we opted for a high-efficiency gas furnace, which was installed and working in pretty much one day.I highly recommend Mannix, based on my experience.
