My wife noticed that the hot water in the house wasn't running as it should. I placed the service call to Ray's at 11am and by 4 pm we had a brand new water heater installed! We purchased a furnace and ac unit from Ray's. After having received 3 or 4 quotes. Not only were they the best price, I could tell their customer service was excellent. And, it certainly has been. Scheduling regular check ups for our units have been easy and they do a thorough job. After each cleaning, I notice that the units work so efficiently. It really makes a difference to do the regular check ups as recommended. Both technicians that have been out for cleanings have been very professional, friendly and kind. We just had our heat go out this week (freezing temps outside). They had a technician out within 3 hours of my call. He called the next morning as he said he would and told me they found the part needed to fix it. Ray's also rearranged his schedule for the day so that my furnace issue was serviced first in the day as we were out of heat for a night (only because they didn't have the part on the truck). I was so appreciative of their customer service and responsiveness. I'm so glad we partnered Ray's for our new furnace and AC.
I have used Ray's for service in the past, and this seems shady.I had Rays come out to do a check on my air conditioner 10/17. It has been working like a champ but I couldn't remember when a check was last done. It is an older unit and still uses R22. My air handler is in the attic and I waited until it was cooler outside because I didn't know if looking at the air handler was part of the service.They came out and said my R22 was low and I needed a new system because they are not making that refrigerant anymore. Didn't go into the attic to physically look at that part of the system. Only took pictures from the attic entrance because the person coming to give me a quote on a new system probably wouldn't be able to access this area.In making calls for installation companies, I talked to an honest service tech. They have the coolant on hand for these older units and said you cannot accurately get readings on how much refrigerant there is when the weather is colder and most likely every thing is fine since it worked well all summer.
