Don't use this company. They will quote you 29.00 to driveout then 60-80 to unlock the vehicle then charge you almost 300. Huge scammers. Say they will call office to discuss payment and don't. Did service then held vehicle hostage until huge payment was made. I only gave 1 star because they did actually break into the vehicle.

Wish I had read the reviews first. The only positive things I can say are, they did answer the phone and they did get my house unlocked. But charging $275 to drill a hole through a deadbolt plus an additional service call is not reasonable in any sense of the word.

Lesson learned. I would recommend calling any other locksmith before you call here.

That my car is dead and my keys were not made for the car yet and I only had an electric key fob and asked them to make a copy of my key so I could get in my car and open the hood to charge the battery and they said they would be here within the next hour and I’ve been sitting out in the freezing cold for the whole time horrible customer service the lady on the phone was very rude and sounded upset when I first rang the phone they still haven’t gotten here

I was unable to use my key and it’s not matching the teeth on the actual key I use.

Wow that was awesome. I needed backups for my padlock key and they actually had the exact one in the machine and whipped them out instantly. I also needed a specialty key that they didn’t have in the machine but it scanned it made a copy and then mailed it to me in the mail like four days later so call me easy to please but it’s nice when something just works. This was at the Smith’s location in Saratoga Springs.

Service was TERRIBLE. I called and told them I have a Yale smartlock deadbolt that needs to be unlocked. We messed up the factory reset and accidentally locked ourselves out of our office. He told me they would be over within 30 minutes. An hour later, they showed up. Took an hour and a half of trying to DRILL it out (they never spoke to me about costs when I called in or when they arrived). They couldn't get it to open so they said they had to go get better equipment (which they rented from salt lake) and said they would be back in an hour. but they were not back for over 2 hours. After waiting basically all day for them to do this, they finally got it open and then gave me an invoice for $742!!! they NEVER mentioned cost or asked me if the extra cost would be okay. When I argued with them about how they told me a time and were really late both times, and how they never told me a cost, they took off part of it but I was still left with a chewed up lock (that I still couldnt get out of the door to replace it) and had to pay them and replace a $300 lock. When I called and toild them they didnt get the lock out so I could install the new one, they said they could come back and finish but would have to charge me another $100! I will NEVER use them again! If you use them, know they will always take longer than they say and they will charge you more than you think, so ask for price up front!

DO NOT USE Key Me Locksmiths. Our garage doorknob was locked and the spare key was left inside. We called Key Me and they said that they would be able to get in the door. We were told it was $29 to fill the service call and plus a little bit for labor. I anticipated paying $30-40 for them to get into the door. Once they arrived and had worked on the door for 1 minute, they informed us that THEIR airbag system that they used wasn't working. They said they would have to drill the doorknob and replace it. I was hesitant to say yes but they said it would only cost $89 to drill and replace the lock. Due to time constraints and because it was late at night I decided it would be best to go ahead and have them drill the doorknob.

Once they drilled through the bottom doorknob (the only one that was locked) they informed us that it would be cheaper and quicker to rekey the new doorknob to our existing deadbolt (which was not locked). In the process of rekeying the deadbolt, he messed up somehow and must have broken the deadbolt. When he was doing this it did not seem like he knew what he was doing because he had to facetime his boss to figure out how to proceed. At this point he told us that this was his mistake and that we wouldn't be charged for anything beyond what we previously agreed to ($89).

While this was happening he also said that they needed to rekey our front door (which is an entirely separate door) in order to match the garage doorknob and deadbolt. While rekeying the front door he said that something broke and that the lock must be old (our house was built in 2019). He still did not seem to know what he was doing and had to facetime his boss multiple times in order to figure out what to do. Eventually, the front door along with the garage doorknob and deadbolt were all installed and rekeyed. This process took about two hours from start to finish.

They went out to their car and came back with the following receipt posted in the pictures. $249 for drilling the lock. $89 for a new lock. $75 to rekey. $70 for labor (even though they had to call someone else to know what to do), and $29 for the service call. A grand total of $512...with tax this comes out to $550.

Again I anticipated spending $30-40 for someone to pick a lock. Because THEIR tools weren't working they needed to drill and replace the lock. While this happened THEY broke our existing lock and we were told we wouldn't be charged anything more than what we had agreed to (which was an additional $89). Our prior doorknob, keys, and personalized keychain are nowhere to be found, so we assume that they were taken.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This was the worst experience with a business that I have ever had. What should have been a simple pick of a lock turned into $550. Had I been told that this was going to be the price I would've never agreed to this service.

Again, DO NOT USE KEYME Locksmiths.
