Craig arranged my move from Michigan to Springfield one year ago and I was very pleased with the service and my movers. I liked the job so much I used this company again for my move one year later. This time around the experience is much different. Craig contracts out the job to Mordue moving and last time my movers were great. This time the movers were not. I always get the packing service and the packing job this time was terrible. There was almost no packing and I had broken items. I left separate review for Mordue movers. The thing I am most unhappy about is that I feel extorted by the movers. I was quoted $2700 for the move by Craig based on my move one year ago. After the movers moved me into my new address the lead mover gave me a bill for $4500 and said the difference of $1800 was for additional packing fees. I called Craig about this and he insisted this was because they didn’t know I had more things to pack. I didn’t suddenly accumulate more things in one year to warrant an almost 3 times increase in packing fees. And even if I suddenly became a hoarder in the course of one year why would this fee be sprung up on me after the move was complete? There was no room to clarify anything as the movers showed no signs of leaving my house unless I paid on the spot. This isn’t a business transaction it’s extortion and not handled well by Craig Drone afterwards as I received no follow up or invoice as to why I paid $1800 extra. I will be reporting this to the BBB.
Great movers in Springfield. I was referred by Concordia Village and I spoke with Craig Drone. He called me back right away and was very accommodating for our tight schedule. His quote was fair, $194 per hour, turned out to be cheaper than quoted which is even better.The moving guys Clarence and Andrew arrived promptly and called me. I was pleased to meet them as they were absolute gentlemen and hard workers. They were very careful with my mother’s belongings and swiftly got to our destination.Craig also showed up during the move and shook my hand, and made sure all was good. I was very impressed with the staff’s professionalism. Thank you for helping us out and making a seamless move.

We used Springfield Van & Storage Co. the summer of 2024 when we moved from St. Louis to Central IL, and they were WONDERFUL! Craig was communicative from the beginning and answered all our questions. Daniel was our driver for the entire process. He was so friendly & helpful! The utilized manpower locally in both locations and everyone was so courteous and careful with our belongings. Our stuff was packed Thursday, loaded Friday, and delivered Monday. Smoothest move I've ever done!!
We received a referral from friends who swear by Craig Drone and his operations manager Dave! And they were so right! Craig walked us through what to expect and how to prepare for the move. Dave was there first thing in the morning to explain the game plan and introduce the crew. The driver Leo was amazing! So knowledgeable, courteous, and very skilled at his job. His crew worked so hard and efficiently the entire day and didn’t slow down until the last box was unloaded. Very much a pleasant experience all around!!
