Five Star did an excellent job for us. We contracted them to paint and update our kitchen cabinets and have been very happy with the job they did for us. We would highly recommend Five Star for price and quality. Good communication with the team to get a quote and scheduled. You will get a good deal if you give them a chance. They also painted a high area that we were uncomfortable doing as well.
At first, I was exceptionally pleased with the painting project! I hired Five Star to come back an 2nd time and paint my newly rebuilt closets. That project was a father/son team and has been flawless (simple white on raw MDF).The first project (MDF veneered cabinets that started white, smooth material) started to show signs of improper preparation. Realized that NO prep had been done - painter spent the whole first day of the project taping off, didn’t do any sanding. The paint has peeled and chipped off the cabinets and interior shelves, almost entirely, only a few weeks after the crew ‘finished’.When I called to arrange for quality return, they scheduled and failed to show up twice. They called the 3rd reschedule attempt to reschedule again and I decided I wasn’t going to continue to play the game. They clearly don’t want to honor their quality guarantee and only show up for the paying gigs.I’ve now sanded and repainted the cabinets myself. Since the end of the project, we’ve found MULTIPLE spots where dark paint was dripped and splattered all over our tiled surfaces. I won’t return and do not recommend because they don’t honor their workmanship.
This was the third time I used Five Star Painting. The first time they painted my kitchen cabinets. They did a beautiful job! I had them paint all the interior doors and molding. Again, beautifully done. I had to have a new roof put on this spring. The trim on my house needed painted. So, I them come back and do the outside. They're always professional and ALWAYS ON TIME! I truly appreciate that the most. I highly recommend FIVE STAR PAINTING.
