Was a customer for a few years. The first year it seemed to actually work - the people spraying would take their time and ensure the yard was well coated. However, as time passed the service became unreliable, either not showing up at all, or spraying for literal seconds before hopping back in their truck and heading off.I cancelled last year and received confirmation, but at the start of this year they automatically charged my card several hundred dollars. After calling to get this sorted, I was told that I should have looked at the marketing email I was receiving (which went into junk as they are so numerous) and made it seem like they were doing me a favor by refunding the charge they made in error.Really scummy business practices to ignore cancellations and then blame the customer when they decide they are going to keep charging you. Cancelling this service is akin to cancelling a gym membership.
Won’t take my business. To be upfront this review isn’t assessing if their service works or not, just that they won’t take my business. I was extremely excited to sign up this year. My backyard is full of mosquitos due to my neighbor having a pond that looks more like a swamp and copious amounts of overgrown vegetation. I did my research and found Mosquito Shield to have excellent reviews. So I called and asked a few questions. I told them about my unique situation that you can only access my backyard by going through the house. I told them I could either leave a key or be at home on the days that they spray. I was assured this wouldn’t be a problem, and they made a note of it on my account. So I signed up and paid the first installment. A day or two later, I get a phone call that said they wouldn’t be able to do the service anymore because it’s a “liability” to walk through my house. They said the backpacks are huge (I’ve seen them they aren’t that big that they can’t fit through the doorway or hallway). They would literally have to be in my house for all of 10 steps.I told them I have no issue with them walking through my house to get to the backyard. They could have at least came out and looked our house to assess the situation.Oh well, I will find someone else that will gladly take my business.
Mosquito Shield has been servicing our property for two years, and we have been incredibly happy with them! We do the tick and mosquito protection for our house, and since we have been using them, can actually enjoy being outside! Our daughter is very sensitive to bites, and using their services has meant that she and all of us can enjoy the outdoors more!
We Love Mosquito Shield!!! We became customers last summer after we built our deck and then realized we couldn't even use it because of all the mosquitos that were torturing us. After the first treatment, we no longer had to worry getting bites, the mosquitos were gone! They also are very fair when it comes to pricing and their customer service is exceptional. Plus, their treatment is dog friendly which our dogs were very happy about. I highly recommend them. We are forever clients!
This will be our third year with Mosquito Shield and they cannot be beat. They spray your property more than all the other companies out there and even better is their customer service. Have never had an issue that wasn't personally resolved. They have even come out and sprayed after a rain. I was never able to enjoy our outdoors during the summer prior to getting Mosquito Shield. Best money you will ever spend.Locally owned and operated. They treat you like they would their own family.
