Had an issue where my toilet(s) gurgled when the washing machine drained. Further, the toilets wouldn't flush during those cycles. Goolsby sent out a couple of guys who cleaned the pipes under the house. They also ran a camera to the street to make sure the fiber install didn't damage the pipes. Learned the issue is a combination of rubbish low-flow toilets and using supposed, flushable wipes. ?? Nevertheless, they got the work done fast and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.
Had a great first experience with this company about a year ago. Always intended to use them again if needed and that opportunity came up this past week. However this more recent experience has been awful. They didn't show up twice, forcing me to call them. Both times they had vague excuses for why they couldn't come out. Both times I was the one who had to call them to find out what was going on. They never bothered to call me and tell me they wouldn't be coming and they were going to just let me sit around wasting my time waiting on them. Again, this happened twice in a row. I finally told them to cancel my appointment and I would be taking my business elsewhere.EDIT: They texted me after this posting trying to explain everything that went wrong. They actually did have valid reasons for not showing up. But I had to explain to them that the very reason I am unsatisfied with them is because on two different occasions they couldn't be bothered to contact me and let me know what was going on before it got to this point.
We recently contacted Goolsby Brothers Plumbing and Electric to do some electrical work on the exterior of our house, installing a new junction box and some re-wiring of plugs and our fuse box. Exceptional service - John was the Technician who came and did the work. He was very professional and friendly; explained all that he was doing; and the end result is everything is functioning exactly how we requested it and the appearance of the newly installed boxes looks great. We also appreciate the fact Goolsby Brothers responded with 24 hours of our initial call - which to us wasn’t important but it does say a lot for their professionalism and response time. Strongly recommend Goolsby Brothers - local to Enterprise, friendly employees and reasonable cost.
Disappointed. Poor communication and a mess left behind for me to clean. I won’t use or recommend Goolsby for anything in the future.I bought a home in Nov, and I heard great things about Goolsby Plumbing, and really looked forward to using their services on several projects I’m doing. However, my experience left a lot to be desired.First visit: I went in and spoke to the woman at the desk about replacing the outdated shower/tub faucets and diverters. There was also a man there who said they’ve done plenty similar in my area and it was around $900 for two. I was urged to return the hardware I purchased from Amazon and use the products they would supply. She specifically told me the items from Amazon are made of plastic and don’t hold up. I agreed to make an appointment when I knew my schedule better.Communication: I called to schedule, I was told a rough estimate of the days they might be able to do the job, and she told me I would receive a call back. A week later I called to get an update, left a voicemail. Again a few days later I called and left a voicemail, nothing. I filled out the online form on their website with my info, nothing. My mom reached out to the owner, who said I was already on the schedule for a specific day. How was I to know? I would not have been home that day, and their lack of communication would have been frustrating for both of us when they showed up for nothing. The work: I was told initially they go through the back of the shower to replace the parts, and it would be simple. I came home to a large hole cut in my drywall, and an absolute mess left behind… drywall dust everywhere. It looked as if they didn’t even bother cleaning their mess at all. I would never leave a customers home in that condition. The hole in the wall was fine, I can repair that, but the disrespect and lack of attention to detail shows a lack of character and customer care. As well, the diverter in one shower was not changed, and the drain in the other shower was not changed. Now I have unmatched hardware. There wasn’t even a phone call or text or anything to ask if I was okay with leaving some parts or replacing. The assumption was that everything would be changed with new materials. What’s worse, there’s a gap in the shower wall underneath the faucet handle where the hole is open to the inner wall.Materials: the hardware used, is PLASTIC. And the ugliest stuff you've ever seen. The faucet, shower head, and other parts are plastic. The inner parts are mostly plastic. Ironically, the hardware I returned to amazon was all metal, rubbed bronze, for 1/3 of the price I was charged for ugly plastic overpriced "chrome" hardware.I let the owner know about this. He seemed to really care about making it right. I understand he had some medical problems during that time so I don't fault him at all for any delays, but 3 months later I’m done waiting for an opportunity for them to correct it for a better review, but now I'm leaving this.Final price was just under $1100. If I could go back and do it all myself, I happily would. I wanted to save time in my busy schedule for my family, hence why I paid someone else to do the job. If I knew I would be replacing parts and cleaning a mess after someone else, I would never have hired Goolsby.I understand this may have been a fluke job, but it should have been corrected.
They are very understanding and when you call for urgent help they come! They go above and beyond to give excellent service. The guys who came out were super friendly, worked hard and didn't mind me asking a million questions. They were the best! They started at 10am & didnt leave until the job was done @7pm!!! We called another who was very rude and refused to come out and fix their mess ups and Goolsby came out with put hesitation and fixed it!! will always HIGHLY recommend Goolsby! Won't ever call anyone else!
