Very Disappointed – Declining Service Every YearI have been a Del-Air customer for almost 9 years, and unfortunately, the service seems to get worse every year.We purchased a new home that came with 2 Del-Air AC units already installed. We also purchased their maintenance package, which from the beginning has been extremely difficult to manage. Scheduling maintenance was a constant struggle — I often had to call 4–5 times just to book an appointment.From day one, our upstairs unit never worked properly. They came out multiple times and repeatedly charged us to add Freon. At one point, a technician even told me he wouldn’t charge me if I sent him a Zelle payment directly. That alone says a lot about the type of employees they are hiring.After finally resolving the upstairs issue, we started experiencing problems with the downstairs unit. Instead of properly addressing the situation, a sales representative came to our home and focused on selling us more packages. We ended up spending $20,000 on a new AC unit that included a UV light system and other add-ons. We were also sold what they call the “Legacy Plan,” and the sales rep repeatedly assured us that ANY problems for 10 years would be fully covered. He even wrote it down on paper to convince us.Fast forward 14 months.During a routine maintenance visit, the technician informed us that the UV light is broken and it would cost $1,000 to replace it. When I mentioned the 10-year coverage we were promised, he told me to call the office.I called. A manager was supposed to return my call — that never happened. I called again and spent over an hour on hold, still unable to speak to a manager.This feels like a complete ripoff. The promises made during the sale are not being honored, and the lack of accountability is unacceptable.At this point, I am considering taking legal action.I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company.
Ironce was my technician today. He did a full inspection/service of my HVAC system that was installed last year. He did a very thorough job of it. He honored my request to refresh my memory on how to change my air filter. He showed me how while explaining, watched me do it and helping me when I wasn’t quite right and then watching again when I asked to make sure I had it down. He explained about the insert in the drain pan to keep it from clogging and when he found it was already clogged, sucked it clear (finding a baby black racer snake in the drain). I appreciate how thorough he was and for teaching me more about my system and how to care for it. I recommend Del Air and Ironce for their services.
Friendly, personable, well groomed.Sergio was not our initial technician, but he followed up on our previous repair when it malfunctioned. He respected our request to remove his shoes everytime he entered and thats was alot, but he did it with no hesitation and a smile.He had no quam about returning to repair our system. He enjoys his work and cares about the customer and it shows! He even gave us his personal number, incase something malfuntioned again, because he knew we were unhappy when we called in to the main number spoke to a live person and they never got back to us. He didn't have to do that and thats just another example that shows he cares about his customers. It's hard to find dedicated employees nowadays, so Del-Air you better keep a tight rope on Sergio Cruz.
Libny was so wonderful and kind and explained everything to us about the work that needed to be done today! He went over pricing so great. We enjoyed his wonderful personality and would always trust him in our home! He was dressed so clean & neat! He was super patient with us! anytime we need more work done from Del air in the future I will hope that we get the same tech !! he had a wonderful smile and was so pleasant to work with!! we were so lucky today to get the tech we had today!!
