"Everything is good, until you have a problem..."I had an overall positive experience with Oasis Pools & Spas when purchasing parts - straightforward transactions that required no follow-up or accountability. That changed when I had my old pool liner replaced by them in 2023.Installation was done quickly, but not very accurately - there are many wrinkles in the pool bottom, a small stone was trapped under the vinyl, and one wall at the deep end was visibly more stretched than the opposite wall. Not sure if it was caused by inaccurate measurement, incorrect installation, or some combination of both.By August 2025 - just two years later - the liner had developed stress marks and dozens of holes of different sizes located only in the areas where the vinyl was visibly overstretched (decorative elements stretched 50-75% beyond their normal dimensions on the affected side).Rather than addressing the issue, Oasis initiated a warranty claim with the manufacturer despite the fact that the warranty certificate clearly states that coverage is limited to liner seams only, and does not cover material or installation defects. The process was lengthy and ultimately led nowhere. When the warranty route predictably failed, the company's response was to use AI-generated analysis with colorful fonts and pictograms to argue the holes could not be caused by overstretching - despite the fact that every single hole appeared in the overstretched areas and nowhere else on the liner. According to their AI analysis, the most likely cause was that something had "physically poked or chewed through" the liner :) When I questioned the explanation, they confirmed that AI had been used to build their case. The reliance on AI also raises questions about their expertise: if you are an experienced professional in your field, why would you rely on a chatbot to provide an answer? To make matters worse, I ended up having to install a large (4.6m x 30cm) patch myself. Oasis was unwilling to patch the liner without charging me for it, and they didn't have a patch of sufficient size, which itself raises questions about their ability to support customers with post-installation issues.I recognize that Oasis did communicate with me throughout the process, which was mostly waiting for the manufacturer response while the liner holes were expanding. I am disappointed that a clear workmanship concern was met with deflection rather than accountability. I hope this review helps other customers ask the right questions about liner installation quality before signing off on costly projects.Attaching photos of the liner holes and pictures showing the difference in size of the decorative elements on the opposite pool walls.
Had an emergency hot tub issue where we needed a whole new panel/heater, and they diagnosed, brought in the replacement unit and installed all within two days. Amazing customer service and great pricing - would highly recommend!
We have been a loyal customer for 15+ years, not without incident, until today. The motto of “our time and schedule > our customers” was pushed past the brink. Despite very clear communication about what needed to be done by Sunday, in order to accommodate a 2 year olds birthday, I was VERY RUDLY informed that this previously agreed upon schedule no longer worked for Oasis. Not only was I left without service, I was also left with an unusable pool for a pool party. When I called to clear my bill before taking my business elsewhere, the representative that had been “helping” me, decided the best resolution to our phone call was to hang up on me. I am in shock, just like our pool. We let so many incidents slip through the cracks, and we’ve finally had enough. This company does not deserve your business. Rude, entitled, unreliable.
After having contacted various other pool supply retail stores across Calgary, and given next to no valuable information about my above ground pool equipment upgrading to accomodate my pool heater, the staff at Oasis Pools & Spas answered all my questions and even made suggestions to help me with my above ground pool set up. Unlike other pool supply retail stores, the staff working the front are incredibly knowledgeable with pools. Shout out to Lynn and Vanessa for helping me reach my goal, being professional, kind, responsive, and helpful with my install questions, and they even helped me out by selling me a slightly used 1 HP Hayward gravity fed water pump, at a significantly reduced price when compared to online retail and other pool supply stores across Calgary. They helped me answer pool chemistry, maintenance, and installation questions. Lynn and her husband have been in the business for a lifetime. Support their business because they are trustworthy, honest, professional, and they really know their stuff. I'll be continuing to take all my pool related purchases, water chemistry analysis and future questions about upgrading my pool for years to come. I never did use them for pool installation but I'm certain they will do a better job than any other pool installer in the Calgary area. Other retail stores were trying to convince me to buy a 1.5hp pump for my system which is significantly more expensive than a 1hp pump, Lynn and Vanessa didn't try to upsell me and assured me that a 1 HP pump would be more than adequate and guess what they were right. Seriously support this store.
My husband and I purchased a beautiful hot tub through Oasis Pools and Spa and we are extremely happy with it. ??????as well as with the service. They are very knowledgeable in the pool and hot tub industry and the customer service is great can ask for anything better. I believe we've had it for almost 2 years now and use it you're around we just turn the temperature down for the summer and it's like a warm bath tub. Thanks soo much Lynn & Brad
