We had a great experience with Master/Artistic. From Cory Keith to David Yoder to George Fowler - each stage of the way, they had a part of the team that handled their business. David and George had to come a couple of times to get things right and naiked it. Cory had to work hand in hand with our home builder to make sure everything worked together. Pool contractors are notorious for poor communication but not these three guys. If you are looking for a tesm to get it done right, these are your guys.
I would agree with Mark Huber. We hired Master Pools to build our pool and April 4th 2022. It is now June 2024 and the pool still has rebar sticking out, the mortar placed between rocks that in some areas looks like it was pooped our, and pipes exposed. They claim they don't make excuses however the supervisors and the owner claimed COVID for the delay, they accepted too much work, the designer we signed with is new, and the subcontractors they use are either super busy or really hard to get a hold of. It really comes down to they have a serious problem with client communication, intracommunication with subcontractors and their own employees, commitment and accountability. You can be sure they received all the money before they even completed the project. They claimed they wouldn't pebble our pool until the last $10,000 was paid. That was June 14, 2023. We still are waiting for our final, the above items to be taken care of and the final permit. We have called the company multiple times and they still have yet to reach out. I do not recommend this pool company. You pay alot and you don't get what you planned.2024-10-23. The service and repair department associated with this company is 5 stars. They are responsive, thorough, and professional. Too bad they don't do the construction and installation.
I purchased a house in the Atlanta area with a pool they installed and serviced. I continued with the service contract and was very impressed with their service. So when it came time to build a new pool at my Tennessee home I was thrilled to find out they serviced this area under the Master Pools company. From design to installation and service it was a pleasure dealing with this company.
Everyone tells of a bad pool construction experience. I really thought a company that had been in business for over 50 years would deliver a great project. I built a house 4800 ft.² at the same time as the pool and less time than it took to construct a pool. Problems range from poor site management, poor quality installation failure to deliver preselected design, and warranty issues not supported. Here are a few examples. (1) the sales person accepted using Techo bloc as the coping. Three months later, the construction manager said no they would not install it. I had to find my own installer. Several months later Artistic Pools decides they will not only carry the line, but install Techo bloc. (2) 24 hours before we were installing the pebble tech they told me my color was no longer available and I need to pick something else.(3) I have had multiple leaks on the pool and artistic refuses to support the corrective action. I’ve had to do it myself. (4) once they have you under contract getting a callback is near to impossible. The list goes on and on but I feel like if you spent $140,000 on on a pool you should get service and you should get a call back. Now I’m still dealing with a leaking pool and a collapsing patio. I’ve called the office multiple times, and I can’t even get a callback from the owner within 10 days. Feel free to call me if you would like to know more. 901,49.1355
We recently added a small pool/spa (spool) to our backyard. Overall we were very pleased with the design and finished product. David, our designer was very responsive and easy to work with. Jonathan got our pool started and helped us through a few technical difficulties. His instructions about maintenance and pool equipment were very clear and helpful. Overall, the project took far longer than expected which led to a bit of disappointment from a timing standpoint hence the 4 stars instead of 5. But now that we can use our pool/spa, I can honestly say that it was worth the wait. We did start the pool in the middle of the COVID summer, so that played a role in the lengthy timeline, I am sure.
