Anthony & Sylvan Pools

I do not recommend Anthony & Sylvan. The pictures speak for themselves on my plaster work. They 100% subed out the work on my pool. Anthony and Sylvan showed up to quote the job, and the next time we saw anyone from the company was 6 weeks after the job was already complete. No oversight.

Outstanding customer service and technical support by the Jessup service team! As a long-time Anthony and Sylvan pool owner, their Jessup service department is the first place I call when I have questions or need reliable service and warranty support for our 18,000 gallon in-ground swimming pool. Although I'm a pretty good "pool boy" in my household, I needed some expert guidance from a real person - not a chat bot. Anthony and Sylvan service advisor Matt Hughes patiently explained how to use "service mode" to lower the water level in our spa, and then how to return the system to auto mode. Kudos to Matt for his superior knowledge and patient customer service skills! Much thanks also to service department scheduler Allie Moser for calling me back after I left a voicemail message (not the usual outcome in today's world) and facilitating my connection to Matt. Thanks again!

Wow! What an incredible experience and journey we took with A/S for our backyard oasis. It all started with a beautifully designed pool, patio, and outdoor spaces with Brian A. Then the entire "in-house" team at A/S and their responsive ability to schedule everything as if they were a Navy Seal Team!!!! Then we get introduced to Phillip LaClair and man, what an absolute joy to work with. His attention to details and "knack' for every single operational process made every visit something to look forward to because you knew progress was happening--and getting done the right way. So many great people along the way from the digging, re-bar, gunite team was incredible, plumbing and electric guys were top notch, gas meter folks!!!, etc --the patio team was excellent, and the team that finished the plaster were genuinely as excited as we were to finally get it all done!!! Heck, even the 2 guys that delived to water were excited for us!!!

Due to colder than expected weather late Fall, we wern't able to get the plaster done until last week. Totally worth the wait!!! Phillip was able to keep his routine buttoned up and checked on us (and the pool shell) all winter long. Pool School was a ton of information but Phillip made it simple for us and we are now seeing all the beauty in owning a pool and enjoying our Oasis! Even though we can't jump in--yet-- it is simply awesome to look at it and relax!! Again, thanks to all the folks behind the scenes that made it all possible--and you are in great hands with Phillip LaClair!!

I can report a six star experience thus far. Our designer, Mark Mustacchio was most helpful in helping us design our dream pool. He gave us numerous options and was extremely patient with answering all of our questions and concerns. We decided to proceed and we were assigned a project manager. Thankfully, we were assigned the best project manager ever to build pools. Gregory Anthony pays attention to the most minute details possible. He is always available to answer questions or concerns and visits the job site when a new phase of the pool construction occurs. Our pool construction started as winter started and they have been able to work in conjunction with the good weather. The construction is moving along as anticipated. The pool is looking great and we are most excited for its completion over the next several months. This is only a progress review and when the project is completed, I will leave another review accordingly.

My pool construction is completed. We have had the opportunity to enjoy the pool for the last two months. It was well worth the wait. I say wait because all in it took almost 8 months from start to finish. A good deal of the delay was not the fault of Anthony pools. It was related to creative landscaping. They were on site for parts of 10 days, but it took them over three months to get the 10 days of work done.

Throughout the entire process, our project manager, Gregory Anthony was a shining star. He is great to work with, he communicates well and when he says that he’s going to do something he gets it done.

A few concerns regarding Anthony pools. Make sure you know what you are getting regarding any extras for your pool. I wanted a pool railing for the step area and the way that it was installed the railing sticks out into my pool approximately 10 inches. It is one step above useless. Previously, I had a pool in Scottsdale Arizona with a pop-up cleaning system. It was great, however in Arizona there is much dust that blows into the pool so it was something that was necessary. I asked for it for this current pool and after it was built, it was commented to me that system is almost never used in West Virginia as it is not necessary. I spent a lot of money on something that someone should’ve told me was unnecessary in the geographical location where my pool was being built. The plaster finish color is two tone or three tone. This will be addressed next year when they open the pool at which time they will do an acid rinse to hopefully make the plaster color more even.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with the finished results and hopefully we will enjoy the pool for many years to come. I believe it to be well constructed and a good quality pool. If I had to do it all over again, I would still choose Anthony and Sylvan pools. However, only if Gregory Anthony was my project manager!

Greg's attention to detail is exceptional, making sure every aspect of the project is being executed perfectly. He kept us informed every step of the way and is regularly onsite to ensure progress. No matter the time, Greg was always available to address any questions or concerns we had, giving us peace of mind throughout the entire process.
