I would not recommend this company — 0 stars. I also question whether they are properly licensed for the scope of work performed. We previously used them for pool cleaning, which is why we initially trusted them. However, at our new home, we hired them in April 2026 to replace our pump, filter, heater, and salt cell. Communication throughout the process was poor, and the installation was not handled professionally. Several promises were not fulfilled, and inaccurate information was provided, which ultimately resulted in significant additional costs. Additionally, their leak detection partner was not helpful and cost over $2,500.
Please all Soda City pool customer check your Credit Card statements, they will charge you the same amount multiple times. I have a customer for years, paying the typically $309 per month. I decided to have them install a water heater on March 4th for a total amount of $8,603.12, at that time they required a deposit for $4,301.56 which was paid with my Amex. After the work was completed, the balance was paid on 3/27/26 for $4,630.47.Original amount $8,603.12 approved on 3/4/26Deposit paid $4,301.56 on 3/4/26 via AmexBalance paid $4,630.47 on 3/27/26 via AmexThey have since charge my Amex and Citi cards multiple times, for charges totaling $27,810.87Citi3 $4,601.562 $386.25 (this was the monthly fee + late fee that never happened)Amex2 $4,301.561 $4,630.57They wrote me 2 checks that were no good 1 $14,577.18 and 1 $13,233.69We have been working with them for weeks and it always the same, lies and lies. Here is a picture of my pool over a YEAR after soda city said they’d do a pressure wash. Ruined the plaster now they’re ghosting me. They make lots of promises but do not follow through. Lots of excuses.Avoid at all costs! Other positive reviews are fakeUpdate: the owner jumped over my pool fence, (I had it locked and told him I wanted to be present when he came by: neighbor alerted me) he started to ”fix the plumbing” cut the pipes then said he had to get more parts and NEVER returned. Left with swampy pool and cut pipesRealized he couldn’t do the work so agreed to pay another company then gave them a check that bounced. Did the same for other customers. Now he’s ghosted me. I filed a complaint and was told he was operating business without a license (told me he was licensed and had proper insurance ). Was fined and issued cease and desist order. Apparently still in business somehow but the business address is a vape store .
What a huge disappointment. Soda City Pools destroyed our NEW heater due to over treating with chemicals. Hayward wouldn’t honor the warranty because the heater failed due to excessive chemicals . We paid another company to diagnose heater and problem was confirmed. Hosea has a very charismatic personality but has done nothing but blatantly lie to us numerous times over the past 4 months . He told us he convinced Hayward to send a new heater . Hosea told us more than once he was on the way to our house with the heater . He sent pictures of his gps and arrival time . He sent pictures that he would be late due to his truck’s tire issue. Continuously making excuses while saying he has the heater . Hayward sales rep since confirmed he has NOT sent a heater! Now Hosea is ignoring my calls. We also reached out to co owner, Viren Patel, who quickly responded he would get in touch with Hosea and find out about the heater . Unfortunately, the only response I heard was Hosea will contact you .We allowed Hosea to service our pool for years . We supported and encouraged him when he first started his business . We allowed him to use our pool for his commercial. We are out thousands of dollars and extremely disappointed that this has not been resolved .
I have nothing but amazing things to say about soda city pools. We had a very old pump and filter that wasn’t running efficiently that led to a mustard algae outbreak that we couldn’t get under control for weeks. Hosea arrived on Tuesday to treat our algae issue and by Friday afternoon we had a beautiful crystal clear pool. We could finally see the bottom of our pool again. He also counseled us about our pump and filter and got us set up with a brand new filter and switched us to a sand filter which works much better for our 20,000 gal pool. Hosea is knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and very kind. He’s been working on pools for years and really knows his stuff!! I highly recommend soda city pools to anyone in need of pool service/cleaning!!
