River Pools of Des Moines

I highly recommend River Pools. From design to excavation to final install, the entire process was smooth, professional, and incredibly well-managed. They provided clear guidance at every step and made what could have been overwhelming feel simple and streamlined. Ryan has a great eye for bringing ideas to life and improving them along the way. There was never a “we can’t do that” mindset — if something needed to be adjusted, they adapted and delivered on time and in full. Ben and his installation team were equally great, executing the build with precision and providing thorough education on water chemistry, maintenance, and long-term care. I would confidently recommend them to anyone considering a pool installation.

Just completed our project with River Pools. Cannot recommend highly enough. We researched every possible pool type and option and am glad we made the choice to work with Ryan and his team. Workmanship was to the highest caliber and we picked them for quality, not price. If you want the best product with the best possible craftsmanship this is the place to use. Thanks crew! You’ve made our summer a memorable one.

Ryan and Ben are the best! They always respond quickly and care . I interviewed 4 pool companies . Their price was slightly higher but worth every penny. They back up their promises each and every time with action. We are completely satisfied with the pool , installation and service they provided. Highly recommend. We love our new pool and hot tub! You will be happy you went with River Pools they ROCK!

We considered 3 different pool builders for our pool and landscaping project. After an initial visit, Ryan returned to our house a couple weeks later with a detailed hand drawn landscape blueprint of his interpretation of our ideas. We were blown away with the detail and design that he presented, as well as cost estimates for different sections of the yard and different materials (should we need to scale back a bit to fit our budget). It was at that point that we felt we found what we were looking for. Coupling River Pools with ODS Landscape is exactly what we wanted to find - someone that could not only do a beautiful pool project, but could take care of everything - down to replacement sod being installed, the new garden beds my wife wanted and existing water drainage issues that I wanted addressed. From previous experience building a pool, we knew that it was important to have the same company do everything for you - not just put in the pool. Although they got slowed down by some storms that rolled through, they had obviously dealt with things like this many times and had plans on how to deal with it. With a large project like this, it was comforting to see how they knew how to address any obstacle or delay. The hardscape work was amazing to watch, as though I had artisan masons working in the backyard. Clearly, they have skilled and experienced people in their pool install crews and they would talk to us everyday to give us project updates and what was going to happen next. The pool is now the centerpiece of the best looking backyard in the neighborhood and we receive so many compliments on the pool and landscaping. It's now been a year since the project was completed and everything works great with the pool - we've had no problems at all, but I know they would come out and help us if we were having some sort of an issue. Thanks Ryan!
