We were looking to have either a screened-in porch or a three-season room built and contacted this company for a quote.

A sales representative came to our home and spent over an hour discussing the project with us. When he left, he did not provide an estimate. When I asked why, he told me he didn’t want us sharing the quote with other companies.

Four days later, he finally called with a price. I asked what was included and requested a breakdown of the estimate so we could make an informed decision. Unfortunately, that was the last communication we received from him.

I called the office to follow up and was told he was busy with another customer and would get back to me. Weeks have now passed, and we have still never received a response.

Thankfully, we moved on and hired another contractor, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Looking back, I truly feel we dodged a bullet.

Our experience was disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. Communication is one of the most important parts of any project, especially one involving a significant investment. Based on how we were treated as potential customers, I cannot recommend this company. I sincerely hope others have a better experience than we did.

I have thought about this for a weak now, and I could not decide how few stars I wanted to give Chapman-Wilson. It was between 1 and 3 stars. I decided on 2 stars because I am really hurt by this interaction. Just to preface, I purchased a spa from them in Dec and was very happy and satisfied with the entire process. From start to finish Mr. Chapman and his staff were 5 star perfect. Billy (the salesman) was excellent, working us thru the process and keeping us up to date on the progress. My Wife and I were happy as can be with the entire deal.

In early June we decided to put a pool in our backyard. We called two companies and got prices for the entire installation. They both seemed fair. Since we had such a good interaction with Chapman-Wilson, I called them to inquire about installing an inground fiberglass pool. Billy was very nice agreed to come out to our home and give us a deal because we were returning customers. He told me they were a Latham pool dealer only and when it comes to fiberglass pools because they have the best product. When he came to our home, he gave us a price that was higher than the other two estimates we received (to be fair I won't put the price on here because my goal is not to smear Chapman-Wilson by revealing the money they wanted to put in the pool) because the number was more than we expected we continued looking around.

We then found a pool we really liked made by San Juan pools. I called San Juan directly and they put me in touch with a local pool installer who could do the entire project for us with the pool we really liked. That is when Chris showed up. He was also extremely nice and offered to come out and give us an estimate. Chris was fantastic! He walked us thru the process and made us comfortable with the whole thing. Chris gave us an estimate that was really competitive. We liked him so much were willing to give him a down payment right then and there to secure the deal at his price. He said he would put it on paper and get back to us in 24-48 hours.

This is when it hit the fan. Chris called the following morning and said he had good news and bad news. Good news was he could do the install, but he said he had a "dig agreement" with Chapman-Wilson and he had to work with them to do the project. Chris told us he was able to negotiate with Mr. Chapman and bring the price down closer to his price. He said Chapman-Wilson would come down $13,000 from their original estimate!!!!!!!!!!

$13,000 LESS.

That price was $4,000 more than the price agreed on by Chris the previous day. He said Chapman-Wilson had "more overhead" than him and had to make that money so they could....... wait...... nothing. Just take more money from my pocket and to put their name on the project would cost me $4,000 extra.

After some internet digging, I found out Chris works for Chapman-Wilson. I don't know if he is a sub-contractor or an employee, but if you read the reviews on this site his name is all over them. So I do not know why he was given to me as a San Juan pool installer when Chapman-Wilson deals with Latham pools (which was Pacific Pools years ago and had to change their name due to MULTIPLE law suits) but Billy from Chapman-Wilson said they were "the best" pools out there.

My review here is to protect homeowners from being "gouged" by Chapman-Wilson! Now I am not saying they are unfair with their pricing, they can ask any number they want. Just do your homework before shaking hands with them because if you are like me, you could accidently be paying $13,000 more than you have to because they are Chapman-Wilson and they have a lot of overhead.

Chapman Wilson has been servicing my in-ground pool for about 4 years now so figured it was time to leave a review hahaha. They open and close it every year and maintain it weekly during the summer. The service techs have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Whenever I have a problem they have been quick to come out and get it fixed ASAP.
The office ladies are very nice as well and they provide almost anything in their showroom you would need for your pool. Billy who is always in the sales is very helpful and certainly knows what he's doing. I have never had any other work done by them other than pool service and repairs, but if I ever need any home improvements they will definitely be who I call!

I had to get my vinyl liner replaced for my in ground pool. I decided to go with Chapman Wilson, and have no regrets. Billy was very knowledgeable and was able to give me an estimate on the spot. There were no hidden gimmicks And everything was done exactly as discussed. Tony, AJ, and Daniel did an amazing job. They went the extra mile did everything professionally without cutting any corners. The new liner fits like a champ and looks better than ever.

I want to thank Chapman Wilson for a great job for installing my pool liner. My pool was damaged through a storm that tossed our Canopy Swing into the pool and tore our liner. Billy Nichols our salesman, came and gave the estimate for our insurance company and was so informative. The entire team was professional from beginning to the completion. Thank you Mike, (our installer) as he did a beautiful job! They answered all questions, put in all new hardware and accessories.

I will have Chapman Wilson from this point forward to do all of my home upgrades, from this point forward. They are now coming to do a estimate to replace our windows in our home.
