I have tried to be patient and hold off on this review. I wanted to give them a chance to change my mind. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
They had opened our pool this year on May 14 and due to the mild winter our pool water was a disaster. They had asked me to take pictures and send them if it was not better by the weekend, which was 4 days later. I sent pictures as asked, in their defense they didn’t say they would get back to me. It took 5 texts and 4 calls over 6 days to get them to call me back. When they did it was an apology, they were busy and would check back in a few days. That was the 3rd week of May. Since then I have called and text them 15 times since May 14 and only received 1 short apology call. They were going to install a new diving board for us once we got it as well.
I have had other questions before I ordered the new diving board, however I have not heard from them.
They don’t seem to value their customers or at least new ones. They wanted paid immediately after opening and wouldn’t even give me 5 minutes to look at the invoice. But after that, my business seems to not matter to them.
We have had a couple different companies, our changes were due to changes in management and steep increases in prices. But this was a small business that I was more than happy to give a chance because they seemed eager and friendly. But after almost 2 months of texts and calls not being returned or them following up as promised, I can’t recommend them and suggest you do as I will be doing, find another company..

I moved in to a new home last year with a pool in the back yard. It hadn't been up kept for who knows how long. Called JP pool service and JP was out the next day. He did a complete inspection of everything that needed to be done to get the pool up and running with a free estimate at the end. The price was right and the work and service was even better! Jp and his crew were very professional and easy to talk too. Haven't had a problem since and I'm definitely recommending him to anyone who needs there pool fixed! Thanks again JP!!

We've been with JP since before he started his own business, so naturally went with him when he launched JP Pool Service. It's a decision we've never regretted. He handles all our pool needs; from standard opening and closing to repairs of all sizes. He's always responsive...even going so far as taking an emergency Saturday morning call to fix our pump before a pool party that afternoon. The latest example of his professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond for his customers, is his coordinating directly with our contractors that are doing a backyard reno to get our pool step repaired while we were out of town. I know we can trust JP to keep our pool in tip-top shape, will keep us well informed, and his services won't break the bank.

We have been with him for the last several years and found him to be responsible, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The pool service industry is known for having unreliable service with a lot of turnover of employees. I highly recommend JP Pool Service and we have high standards that JP meets.

Something that I always respect with every company and vendor I work with is excellent customer service. I gave JP two stars because he has opened and closed our pool in the past but usually his communication skills are TERRIBLE.

Something that really bothered us this past year was a leak issue in our inground pool. I contacted JP about the issue in March and he came out in April to look at it. He told me he would put me in the schedule to fix this for me in May. After having to reschedule on multiple occasions, he finally came out. He ended up digging a huge hole in our backyard under some cement blocks to look at the pipes. He told me cost of repair and we agreed to it. He said he would be out later that week to fix. And then we NEVER heard back from him. I kept texting but no response. And yes, we still have the huge hole in our backyard that he left behind. We have always been very accommodating and patient with his busy schedule but to simply ignore us completely was beyond disappointing.

A month later, we finally contacted another vendor recommended to us from a friend. This guy was 100 times better. Found the leak same day he came out to look (it was in a completely different spot from where JP dug that hole). Fixed the leak very fast and the repair cost was extremely affordable (way cheaper than what JP quoted us on). The new vendor always responded back to us immediately and was super professional.

Because we wasted our time working with JP in May and June, we didn’t get the pool open until July after having the leak fixed (it would flood our neighbor’s yard when running the pump). Suffice it to say, we are NEVER going back to JP.

The least he could have done would be to tell us upfront that he couldn’t help us so that we could find someone quicker. Don’t just ignore us; such terrible customer service skills.

UPDATE:
After seeing JP's response to this review, I reached out to him immediately to find out what possible past due balance I could have. I have paid for everything that he has ever billed me for. In fact, the last time I heard from him was when he quoted me for how much it would cost to repair my leak after he came and dug the hole in my yard. I still haven't heard from JP and there is no "office" to call into. It's just his cell number. I've left him messages and he still appears to be ignoring me. So I guess a letter via snail mail may be the only way to get his attention at this point.
