Reviews are mixed. Many customers highlight successful equipment installs and courteous technicians, especially for pump, filter, and motor work. Pricing and workmanship are viewed positively by some, but communication expectations vary.
Swift pools did a great job servicing my pool recently. I'm new to pool ownership and had trouble getting my pool serviced by the original company that the previous owner had used. My realtor helped put me in touch with Swift who had come highly recommended to him and his clients. Swift replaced the motor, treated the pool, and the came out to clean up the debris and did a great job.The techs are very professional and Jeff runs a tight ship in the office. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.Their customer service is very good.
? 1 StarI hired Swift Pools to winterize my pool, and when the pool was opened this season, we immediately discovered multiple failures, including cracked PVC piping and a failed high-pressure shutoff valve.I called Swift Pools first thing the next morning expecting them to take the issue seriously and help determine what happened. Instead, before anyone even looked at the problem, I was told it must have been something I did. At that point, my pool had already been leaking for hours and I was simply trying to prevent further damage.Rather than sending a technician out to inspect the issue, I was told to send pictures and wait. I was then informed that no one could come out for several more days. Since my pool was actively leaking, I had no choice but to hire a plumber at my own expense to replace the cracked PVC and the failed valve. What disappointed me most wasn't just the damage—it was the complete lack of accountability and customer service. I sent a detailed complaint to the company and never even received a response from the owner.Mistakes can happen in any business. What matters is how a company responds when there is a problem. In my experience, Swift Pools showed no urgency, no concern, and no willingness to communicate. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend them.
I visited Swift Pools on Kirkwood Highway today and was very disappointed with the customer service. During peak pool-opening season on a Saturday afternoon, I was told by an employee that she (older woman) not the young girl. couldn’t help me because no one else was available to assist. As a customer, I expect a business to be properly staffed during one of its busiest times of the year. Unfortunately, the experience left me frustrated and without the help I needed.Based on this experience, I’ll be taking my business to Leslie’s going forward. I hope Swift Pools takes a closer look at its staffing and customer service during busy seasons.
Just had a new pump and filter installed today from swift pools. From start to finish professional job great family owned business highly recommend them, quality product, quality workmanship!!!
I am hesitant to post a completely negative review, as we purchased our home with a Swift pool built in 2005/2006. I can say it is in a better condition than others we have seen. Also, their retail store has all of the parts, accessories and highest quality of chemicals.Unfortunately, this is where my positive experience ends...Most recently, I voluntarily called to request my 15 year old pump be replaced with a more energy efficient unit. After lengthy discussions about the pump best suited for the application, I provided the deposit and remained on the schedule. Day of installation, it was approaching 6pm and no one had showed. I called the store and was told “the techs work until dark” and was nearly hung up on. End result was no call, no show. While I am a very understanding person of priority issues that need to supersede an elective request, I had to reflect on the issues experienced in the 3 seasons with the pool. When we bought the house, the pool was opened so I have only been through 2 openings and 3 closings. Last season, I found the filter to not be cleaning as well as the previous year. After the crew closed the pool, I opened the filter housing and found the entire filter assembly to be caked in DE and the filter housing still partially filled with water.I also noticed a leak at my heater during the season last year. This was not noted on my closing paperwork at the end of the season. When the crew showed to open the pool this year, I told them about the leak. It never made the paperwork. During the first backwash of the year, I noticed the chlorinatior was also leaking and the drain plug at the filter leaking. Neither were corrected or noted during the opening. Further, I found a cigarette butt by the filter from the opening crew.During last year’s opening, the crew did a very thorough job, also noting that the filter drain plug was leaking. They replaced the drain plug and also noticed the booster pump lines were in poor condition. They repaired those lines, but didn’t ask me about the repair. The booster pump was used for a cleaner that is no longer used, so those repairs were all done without permission and for no reason. The money charged would have been better spent on removing the pump.I detailed these issues over the past 2 years and have dealt with a very responsive employee, Matt. When Matt wasn’t available to discuss the no call, no show issue, Ethan provided further guidance about the pump and was notified of the issues. Ultimately, I was offered to make an appointment to repair the leak and, thankfully, the restocking fee waived for cancelling the pump installation after the tech didn’t show for the appointment.Again, the pool has held up well over the 15 years in operation, so they obviously build a good quality pool. I provide my experience to only help others consider service options if things go awry. Overall a great retail location, Matt is great to deal with and hopefully you all have better experiences than I have.
