When faced with a family member’s declining health we urgently needed home modifications and additional living spaces that would provide a safe and comfortable environment while facilitating in-home caregiving and assistance. Paradise Found Construction was the best choice to immediately step in and work with us to not only design and build a solution that would meet our needs and budget constraints but also add lasting beauty, utility, and value to our home and allow it to serve many different functions into the future. Their design process served to clarify priorities and options and flowed seamlessly to arrive at our perfect solution of an ADA and Aging in Place wheelchair-accessible Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with adjacent live-in caregiver accommodations. From there, the Permitting and commencement of construction was a breeze and progressed quickly with minimal delays and downtime. Before we knew we were “on the home stretch” speeding toward completion. Jeff was there for us every step of the way to keep us abreast of what to expect and provide guidance and support in selecting the right fixtures and finishes that accommodated the specialized needs. His professional team of carpenters and technical trades were a pleasure to be around and genuinely driven to deliver high quality results. The site-finished hardwood floor matches perfectly with the much older existing hardwood flooring in our home. We used Paradise Found Construction to build an addition onto our 1972 ranch style home. Our new construction included a family room, pantry, laundry room, mudroom and bathroom. We also expanded our existing primary bedroom and renovated a bathroom. We have been thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail throughout the entire process including lovely trim work on the ceiling of the family room, newly expanded handicap-accessible doorways and special attention given to the function of each space. The most surprising part of the project was that we were able to function and live in our home during the entire construction process. Jeff and his crew worked tirelessly to give us the home we wanted. We received frequent updates on the progress and timeline of the project, and we were somehow able to mostly remain on schedule despite widespread delays throughout the construction industry. We never felt pressured to make unnecessary upgrades--Jeff helped us to realize the home updates we wanted within the budget we provided.
