We had a fantastic experience working with Emery. He came into the project after a previous contractor ghosted us, so he inherited a bit of a mess but handled everything with professionalism and care. He was on time, stayed on budget, and there were no surprise costs, which we really appreciated after our earlier experience. He was kind, respectful, and incredibly clean, putting up dust barriers and making sure our home was well protected throughout the work. We’re so grateful we found him and would highly recommend him to anyone.

We are beyond happy with Emerson Contracting. When we bought our townhouse we knew we needed to redo the kitchen but really had no idea what we wanted. I explained to Emery what I didn’t like about the existing setup and asked if we could also do something with the powder room which shared a wall in order to expand the kitchen and make best use of space. Emery came up with plans for us to choose from and tweak. He was so well organized and we loved all his suggestions. Emery made choices easy for me which I really appreciated. We were also amazed at his accurate predictions for each stage of the 2-month long process, and that he was done not only on time but a couple of days ahead. And no surprises with the cost. All was beautifully estimated and completed. Communication was excellent throughout and his attention to detail is like a super-power! I had read in others’ reviews how his team cleaned up after themselves and I was still impressed everyday. Emery and those he worked with were respectful of our space and had high standards. Now that we’ve been living with our new kitchen & powder room for a couple of months, it feels like home and we’re just so happy with everything. Our guests love it too!

We were very impressed with the work ethic Emery and his team had with being on time, working so fast, cleaning up and protecting our floors with paper and plastic in all places possible to keep the dust in check. At the end of each work day Emery vacuumed and tidied as our kitchen was now living in the family room, and he just made sure we could manage. We expected the project of removing kitchen floor, counter tops and backsplash, removing and replacing the microwave/hood fan, repairing some doors on original cabinets and then installing quartz counters, tile floors and back splash to last 10 days. When Emery said 10 days we sort of said to ourselves oh sure, 10 days. Well it was 9 days. When we came home today the home was all cleaned up, pictures hung back up and the little curtain at the front door was hung up too. We were shocked as we totally expected to see him again tomorrow. Great job Emery. Thank You.

Emery (Emerson Contracting) is fantastic! You will not be disappointed if you chose him as your contractor. He helped us with some renovations after we had a pipe burst on our lower level in the late summer/early fall of 2019.

He worked on jobs in several areas of our house including our bedrooms, Laundry room, stairway, entrance foyer and our living room that involved electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, tiling and millwork. What I appreciated most was the easy flow of communication and scheduling. Information was honest and upfront and conducted in a timely manner. He was very concerned with sticking to the budget and timeline and not encountering cost over-runs or delays. When we did run into a delay (due to our flooring supplier, not Emery) he was patient and accommodating with the change in schedule. He worked closely with us to ensure we were happy with the design and execution of our renos.

Each of the sub-contractors that Emery had with him were as courteous and respectful of our space as he was. All of the supplies were tidied at the end of everyday and areas were left clean and free of construction debris.

In the end, we are thrilled with the work he did and would absolutely use him again and recommend him highly to others.

Emery is the unicorn of contractors! Not only did he meet his deadline, he was on budget as well. The Emerson team came in mid-project and had to figure out what our previous terrible contractor has done in our basement suite, which was no easy feat. Emery was very well organized, very detailed a great communicator and very easy to work with. We highly recommend him! Thank you Emery, we love our new basement suite and so do the new tenants!
