MTR Contractors

I want to take this opportunity to thank and recommend MTR for their great work renovating my house and replacing the roof after the recent hailstorm. They're a family business that truly cares and provides the best customer service with excellent communication, which is hard to find these days. They're 100% honest, do fair work, and leave everything super clean! Thank you guys for your work; I really appreciate it!

I built a gazebo for a client and wanted a thatch roof. Problem was, I couldn't find anyone who does thatch in this part of the world (central Texas). And what natural, local materials would they use? I wanted something durable and cedar shake just doesn't last long. This was in 2018. It so happened that I had a friend with 40 boxes of LP records. Could they work as shingles? I checked with the client and he said I could go for it. I put down ice & water shield underlayment on the roof deck and installed the records on top. As soon as the sun came out the records curled like potato chips. But they held and, amazingly, it worked for 6 years! But I knew from the beginning I would need to find something more suitable, more durable. I found MTR online and started researching their recycled plastic thatch. When I called them, I had the feeling like I was in a mom & pop style hardware store - everyone I spoke to was friendly, very patient, and well informed. The thatch is expensive, but has the durability and look I was after. And they knew enough to sell me exactly the amount I needed. Thank you, MTR!

My wife and I had MTR remove a wood shelf in our laundry room and replace it with cabinets. Alberto was fantastic overseeing all aspects of the job that included the estimate, demo, wall restoration, wall paint matching and cabinet installation. This was our second project done by MTR and we highly recommend them.
