Odell did our kitchen remodel and we are so happy with how it turned out. This team is very organized and detail-oriented. They treated our home like their own, taking care to clean up at the end of each day. Everyone was very responsive. Once the project started, the project manager was excellent at providing updates on what was completed and a schedule for the coming days. Our project was completed ahead of schedule, which our dogs were bummed about- they loved having the Odell crew around!

The entire process with Odell was a great experience. Designing, choosing products, and the renovation itself proceeded smoothly. Clear and frequent communications were a crucial element for us. The result truly changed our home and how we live in it. Having just completed a major renovation with Odell Construction, I wanted to share what a truly positive experience it was. Our century home in Lakewood comes with its own set of challenges, but we were determined to preserve its charm while updating the kitchen and second-floor bathroom.

A bit of history—13 years ago, we faced a stressful renovation with another contractor that went terribly wrong. Odell Construction stepped in and turned things around. The crew of just three members worked full days, was respectful, professional, and kept our home remarkably clean. They finished ahead of schedule and under budget. From that moment on, we knew Odell Construction was the only team we’d trust for future projects.

So, when we decided to take on another major renovation—transforming most of our first floor and updating the second-floor bathroom—Odell Construction was the first and only call we made. Here’s why:
-Though we needed a bigger kitchen, we did not want to remove walls that would create an open floorplan combining the kitchen and formal dining spaces. To maintain the historic layout, Justin suggested flipping the rooms—transforming our underused, larger dining room into a functional kitchen. This change, which included a few well thought design tweaks improved the entire flow of our first floor, brought in more natural light, and better aligned the size of each room with its purpose.
-Odell Construction blends modern expertise with a deep respect for historic homes. They carefully preserved original woodwork, doors, columns, hardware, and other features.
-The crew is a joy to work with—polite, honest, and communicative. They kept us informed of any schedule changes or unexpected findings that needed our input.
-The entire team are not just builders—they’re artisans. From design to approvals to construction, every interaction was a pleasure. We genuinely looked forward to working with them.

We have used Odell Construction for 2 major house projects. They added on a third car garage for us in 2017, and most recently (2024) they completely renovated our master bathroom and our hallway bathroom. They have been excellent to work with from start to finish! Kristie, our designer, listened to what we wanted in both bathrooms, and helped us come up with design ideas. Our project manager, Chris, kept us informed with weekly emails about what to expect the following week, and was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. They showed up on time everyday and if there was ever a schedule change, we were notified beforehand. Chris, Kevin, Lyle and Brad, etc did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves daily. We couldn’t be any happier with the way both bathrooms turned out! Highly recommend!
