Rocky Mountain Solar Co.

RMS was an amazing company to deal with. From start to finish they were both professional and extremely experienced. They made the whole process hassle free, and were always reachable if I had an questions or concerns. Their professional nature has continued years after I had them install solar on my house, to help me troubleshoot issues I was having with my app. I Highly recommend RMS if you are considering solar.

Rocky Mountain Solar is a great local Solar company in Calgary. I was very impressed with their customer service and installation. I have been happy with our solar panel performance over the past 2 years with generation output similar to what was quoted. There were no surprises with the quote and the final bill. I would definitely recommend this company if you are considering a home solar set up.

Rocky mountain solar did two projects for us, as well as a remove and reinstall after hail damage a year ago. Definitely very happy with their work. Jake and Larysa were great at communicating and stepping us through the process. I would recommend them to anyone looking into adding solar to their home. Their work is noticeable better than other solar installs we've seen around our area with hidden critter guards that are not prone to hail damage, as well as electrical work that was done very professionally avoiding any runs that would be distracting from the front of our homes.

Amazing company! They worked closely with me to design a solar system that perfectly met my needs. The solar savings far exceeded my expectations. While I hoped the system would offset my usage, I didn’t expect it to be 100% cost neutral. What does that mean? It means that over the course of a year, you won’t have a net electricity bill—instead, you’ll generate net revenue that can help cover the monthly payments of your green energy loan. Moreover, if you refer friends and family, their referral program gives you cash rewards to further reduce your costs. I’m very happy with both the purchase and installation. It means I’ve locked in my electricity rate at the cost of repaying my loan, and after the loan is paid off, my electricity will essentially be free. This will be especially significant as rates rise due to inflation, Alberta’s population growth, and increased energy demand from AI technologies. If you haven’t considered solar yet, don’t just take my word for it. Reach out to people you know who have solar—maybe a neighbor or a family down the street—and ask them about their experience. If you do, don’t forget to get a quote from Rocky Mountain Solar Co. Good luck!

After speaking with 7 or 8 different solar companies about their installation process and getting quotes, we ultimately chose RM Solar, and we’re very glad we did. What set them apart was their clear communication and genuine interest in understanding our goals. Jake, in particular, really listened to what we wanted to achieve and never once tried to upsell us. Larissa, the project manager, kept us informed and was always helpful. We signed our agreement in September 2024 and scheduled the installation for April 2025. Everything stayed right on schedule, and Jake reached out in advance to confirm the dates very professionally and reassuringly. The installation team was fantastic. At the end of each workday, they cleaned up thoroughly inside and out; you wouldn't even know they had been here. The wiring was neatly run under the panels and into the attic, all sealed properly. This summer (2025), we've had some major storms and flooding, and I checked the attic—no leaks at all. With the wiring inside, it's protected from the sun and weather, and the result is a clean, professional look on the roof. I highly recommend RM Solar. They might not be the cheapest option out there, but the level of care, attention to detail, and quality of work make the price more than fair. You do get what you pay for, and in our case, I feel like we got even more. Four months after the installation, Jake even followed up just to check in and see if everything was still working well. That kind of service is rare. Already, we are building up credits to pay for the electricity in winter when there is less sunlight.
