We had our 9.5 KW solar system installed by Zeno in January. Alex and his installation team started the work on Monday Jan. 19 and, on Wednesday, the system was online and started to produce power. Per the monitoring App on the phone, it shows the system has generated total 723 kwh of energy so far, about 24kwh daily average. We are very satisfied with the system. The process was very smooth from the beginning when we started the consultation till the package turn-over. We talked to four solar companies and received 4 quotes. At the last step before we signed the agreement, we're comparing Zeno and another company which also gave us a very good impression and they provided a competitive quote with similar design and features. However, Zeno's excellent service, in particular, Francisco, we think he's the best sales representative a customer can ever expect to work with, his tentativeness, his professionalism demonstrated all through the process convinced us. We really appreciate Francisco, his responses were always very prompt and very helpful. We'd whole-heartedly recommend Zeno for your Solar project!
I had a very good experience with Zeno from start to finish.Zeno’s estimate came lower per kW than other 3 companies on the market that I contacted, and they provided the same or more futures for their system.Francisco, the sales rep, was very helpful on explaining the entire process on what to expect before and after installation, provide me with the quote and guide me the entire time through the process. Was quick to get back and answer all my questions during the entire process. The construction team with Alex, were very accommodating, completed their work in couple days, in a very professional manner. Guided me through the monitoring app and explained how everything works. So far I am very pleased with the system, is still winter here in Calgary and I can’t wait to see how the production will be in the summer.Recommend Zeno for your Solar Project
An incredibly positive experience from beginning to end! Francisco in sales was excellent in clearly explaining using graphics as to how our home was situated and for optimal solar panel functioning. The install happened over 3 days. The technicians and electrician, Conor, Charles and Tyler were all extremely professional and excellent representatives for their Company. Zeno Renewables came highly recommended by 2 of our neighbours and I wouldn’t hesitate to also recommend them to family and friends! Outstanding!
UPDATE: I am revising my review after receiving thoughtful follow-up from Zeno. While my initial experience was disappointing, I was impressed by how seriously the company took my concerns. They acknowledged the issue, and committed to making changes so future customers have a better experience. I appreciate the accountability and responsiveness, which shows they truly value their customers and are working very hard to keep thier Solar company #1. This is how you run a company folks!-------------previous reviewGreat Outcome, But Initial Support Fell ShortWe recently purchased a new home, and one of the standout features was that it came with solar panels installed by Zeno. It was a major selling point, and we were excited to start seeing energy savings right away.Unfortunately, after moving in, the solar panels weren’t producing any energy. I reached out to Zeno’s support team, but the initial response was disappointing. They repeatedly insisted the issue was related to how I was connecting the app and Wi-Fi module, and kept sending the same setup instructions over and over. Despite following everything carefully, the app continued to show zero energy production. The solar panels were not working for nearly 2 months.Eventually, after escalating through customer service, Zeno sent a technician to investigate. It turned out the problem wasn’t with the app or Wi-Fi at all — it was a burnt/melted module near the solar panel, a hardware defect that had nothing to do with my setup. A week later, a team came out and replaced the faultycomponent, and the system has been working properly ever since. The app now shows energy being collected, which is great to see.I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5 because the system wasn’t operational until November 14th, even though we moved in on September 24th and the panels had been installed well before that. I feel we missed out on some energy savings during that time. This would be like selling someone an electric car that didnt run. wouldnt you take that seriuously and just make sure it works. Im thinking perhaps they didnt take me seriously because the solar panels came with the house (although the price is worked into the cost of the home). But they have to realize that some of us will end up expanding the system and paying way more for more solar panels so why not take use seriously? That said, I’m still planning to triple our solar capacity in the spring, so I do believe in the long-term value. I just wish Zeno had taken the issue more seriously from the start. If I hadn’t followed up, the system might have remained inactive for months or even years.Advice for other homeowners: Check your solar app regularly. If it shows zero production, don’t assume it’s syncing or warming up — investigate right away. It could be a Wi-Fi issue, a defective module, or something else entirely.Suggestion to Zeno: Please consider offering full-service setup that includes verifying the customer’s phone is connected and actively reading energy before marking the job complete — similar to how internet providers ensure your Wi-Fi is working before they leave. That extra step would make a big difference in customer experience and trust
Our Solar panels are installed!! We met Zeno at the Home Show in February 2023.We were quickly connected with Jonah, our super knowledgeable sales consultant, who walked us through the entire process and helped us choose the best solar solution for our needs.Once we signed the contract, we applied for the government loan. Once the loan was approved , Blair, our operations manager, took over and kept us updated throughout the installation process, answering all our questions and concerns along the way.The installation itself went great, and Jordan, our electrician and his helper was working efficiently and cleanly to get everything wired up and running in 5 days. The whole process took 8 months. The government loan took little over 4.5 months. We’re impressed with Zeno’s efficiency and commitment to customer satisfaction.
