I have written maybe 10-15 reviews in total for Google. Maybe less. I rather say nothing unless I have something good or maybe even great to say. I have no words for for how grateful I am for Ren and Mike. I called them blindly because they are Authorized Victron Dealers and I had an electrical issue in my camper van. I called and Ren said I lucked out, they were going to be in C.S. for the day and maybe they could come look at it this afternoon. WHAT? She and Mike are Total Gunslingers who got me out of a jam. It's not what they do so much anymore. You got to get lucky like me. I've had several shops in CO. work on my camper, this operation is in a different league. I'll be looking for a home system soon, guess who my first call is going to be?
75 year old woman living alone with working solar system, lead acid batteries and backup generator had concerns about batteries failing. Called Sun Solar Off grid who conviinced her to go with lithium batteries(full payment up front; their policy). Oops, now need new charge controller and new inverter(full payment up front). Did installation and system working. So far they get 4 stars. System failed within two days(low battery indication). Called Sun solar(they offer a 15 year warranty). After repeated calls they finally responded (your panels are weak and your gen is too small (no solutions). Over the next two months and with repeated calls they occasionally offered to bring panels/batteries or a combination of both at no charge; however they never have shown up. Repeated calls met with no return calls or a myriad of excuses when you actually got a live person. Promises of next week were the norm but no show was the result. After nine weeks of no shows challenged them to honor their warranty but the result was the same so gave up and hired another company who fixed all issues. Had to give 1 star in order to give review, actual rating is zero stars. You be the judge.
As amazing as it may sound, Mike and Ren responded to our emergency call the same day we contacted them. We were not prior customers and they drove from Cripple Creek to our house in Allenspark to investigate damage from a lightning strike.They were able to bring 1 solar array back on line. Cannot wait to have them install our new control system.Thank you so much!
I’m not one to have work done and leave a review without knowing that what was done was satisfactory. So now, after living for more than 3 weeks with my install of a Victron Multiplus II, Lynx Distributor, Victron 150/70 MPPT, 2 280 amp hour Eco-Worthy lithium batteries and six 195 watt solar panels, it’s time to rate these folks. My 625 mile drive home in 45 mph winds while driving 65 miles an hour had me concerned. My concerns were misplaced as the panels didn’t budge. That’s pretty impressive. I waited until we had a “gully washer” rainstorm to check for leaks. Once again, the work has obviously been done correctly. Not one drop of water entered my 5th wheel. The equipment worked perfectly and I left my trailer disconnected from the shore line for weeks to see how everything ran. Fridge stayed cold, dehumidifier stayed on and the microwave clock didn’t need to be reset. Everything installed exactly how it was supposed to be. It was sure nice to be able to stop at a rest area and turn on the air conditioner during a break. VERY happy. Now comes the part where I have to talk about the owners. Mike and Ren were more than awesome…they were phenomenal! I spent a total of around 10 hours with these folks and they are just wonderful people and a pleasure to be around. I highly recommend Sun Solar Off Grid for any solar project you may have.
Ren & Mike are hands down the most knowledgeable, honest, and decent human beings ever! After receiving multiple proposals for a complete off-grid build, Ren and Mike came in considerably lower and were honest with us that we did not need that big of a system for our home. Since the beginning, they have been amazing, mind you it’s been about two years since we first started working with them. Whether it’s first thing in the morning or of the middle of the night, they are there to help and that’s the most reassuring thing of all. Gives us peace of mind knowing our system is in such capable hands. None of our dreams of living off grid would be possible without these two. Such a fantastic company and family to have the pleasure of getting to know over the years. Highly, highly recommend this company for all your solar needs, regardless if it’s for a camper or a full blown off grid home - they are the best!
