Reviews
What customers say
Customers praise the installation work and crew manner: one customer called the crew friendly and respectful, while another found the installers exceptionally helpful. One homeowner was pleased that a home battery system was installed, inspected and approved by the City of Sacramento and SMUD. Another customer says the team rapidly found a roof leak at failed flashing by a nearby vent pipe and made an emergency repair, though the leak was unrelated to the solar array.

I was happy with the work of Dan, Niel and Tim in getting my home battery system installed, inspected and approved by the City of Sacramento and SMUD, which is not an easy task. They made it happen. Thank you, guys.

An honest review: Magic Sun Solar has come through twice now for me and has exceeded expectations.
We came home to a leaking roof after the recent torrential rains. I called out two roofers, both looked at the solar array over the leaking area and walked away. They were certain it was solar related and would not do anything until the solar panels were removed.
Magic Sun Solar sent a team out to our house and rapidly found the leak. It was nothing to do with the solar panels or installation, but related entirely to flashing failure around a nearby vent pipe penetrating the roof. Despite being unrelated to the solar array, their team effected an emergency repair.
Two things strike me: The first is that the obvious cause of a leak - faulty installation - was not the cause. Secondly, Magic Sun were very responsive and helpful.
Full marks, and thank you to everyone at Magic Sun.

We've had our panels for 4 1/2 years now, and I just want to say that I am incredibly satisfied with the service we received. I am still very happy that we supported local small business and I feel that got incredible service and our panels have saved us SO much money! Our true up bills have consistently been a break even or have been a few hundred dollars back, which means our sales guy quoted us the exact number of panels that we needed. I recommend them highly. I can't believe that some reviews are based on drivers and not even on the solar company install, products or service.

Great experience and knowledgeable staff. The quote was not only cheaper, but they did a great job and super friendly! We had several of our neighbors ask about them because they were respectful of others property, no blocking drives, and did a great job! 1 neighbor already used them and another hopes too! Can't recommend them enough!

Outstanding!
I was replacing a shake roof with tile and asked the Bartile rep who was certified to install on their roof without invalidating warranty - Magic Sun. I had already met with several solar companies but was immediately impressed with their knowledge and use of technology to get exact measurements. Most other solar sales guys barely have a grasp of the product or been taught to sell the product so you cant actually have a conversation. The install team was exceptional and super helpful when they would stumble across issues on the house that was outside of the project. Almost 13kW install and already saw the difference in the short winter days. Call Magic Sun today!

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Magic Sun Solar assess before designing a system?
The site assessment is free and checks roof size, orientation, shading and structural condition. The team also reviews electricity use, energy goals and budget before estimating system size.
What financing options does Magic Sun Solar offer?
Options include a purchase, loan, lease or PPA, depending on what fits the customer’s situation.
What does Magic Sun Solar’s 25-year performance guarantee cover?
Magic Sun Solar says its performance guarantee concerns how much power the panels are expected to produce as they age. Equipment warranties address component defects and may vary by product; workmanship is typically covered separately.
