After some research I decided to go with CSL for my solar pool heating needs. I met with the sales guy and soon had the install scheduled. Install was done in a day (a little less). Everything was done well and they even used my own house paint to paint the white PVC piping so it doesn't stand out against the house. The following week Jeff (the owner) came by to check the installation and provide information on how to operate and maintain the system. His explanations were in-depth and easy to understand. The highlight of the visit though was when Jeff discovered that some exposed wiring for one of my pool valves had been nibbled on by pack rats (big surprise, we live in Tucson) resulting in the valve not working. Jeff took it upon himself to replace the wiring and ensure that the valve was now working. This had nothing to do with the solar pool heater installation and he could have had me get it fixed myself. Instead, he did it himself. You rarely if ever see that level of service. If I need further solar work or am asked for a recommendation, Jeff and CSL are at the top of my list. Thanks so much for the extra effort.
If you're looking for solar this is your place. Great price, great service. Locally owned, they won't sell you anything you don't need. Jeff, the owner, very down to earth, knows his stuff, they all do. Mike Guthrie is awesome. I used them in 2020 for a new install and its still working great. Just added three addition panels.
I can't say enough good things about Custom Solar and Leisure. My overall experience was really great. The installers were reliable and very professional. The owner Jeff, is very knowledgeable and stayed hands on throughout the whole process. I had a 32 panel solar system installed that has exceeded all my expectations. I opted for the LG panels and garage mounted SMA inverters. For Arizona, my recommendation is to keep the inverters off the roof (go with garage mounted inverters). Electronics don't like heat or power glitches and the roof location will increase their exposure to both. As a bonus you'll save money too.
Jeff and his crew did a great job installing solar panels on my home. His sales guy (Mike) talked through a number of options, with many follow up calls/emails to answer my questions. I also got 2 bids from other companies where this bid cost less and was for better equipment. The crew installed the racks and 27 LG 350 panels (with Enphase microinverters) in about 2 days (usually half days), they were very professional and even answered any of my questions fully, took care of all the permits and TEP interactions, and upon system turn on Jeff himself spent a few hours with me walking through the website to get solar readings on my equipment along with discussing all the ins and outs of understanding the readings (now and in the future and what to watch for). The system has been operating for ~2 months now and I just got my first full TEP bill with solar producing most of my electricity (~90%) where my electric bill effectively was reduced in Sept by ~$250 (and this was without any Fall/Spring credits since just turned on). I would definitely use Jeff and his crew again.
This is an awesome company. They are knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. They installed a solar pool heating system and a photovoltaic power system. Both were completed ahead of schedule and work flawlessly. I would highly recommend them.
