I wish I would’ve read these reviews first we got a piece of glass for our stove. It was on maybe six days and cracked. We took it back again. The front girl at the desk was very nice. However, no one told us they were going to charge us again, even though yes it was half price For the piece that broke after six days and told it was a very common. We would’ve rather gone somewhere else and paid full price rather than give another penny to this place we would never ever go and spend another penny there. They are ripped off artist buyer beware
One of the worst business experiences ever. I purchased a piece of glass over the telephone. When I picked up the heavy glass it took all my strength to carry it into my home. To my dismay the piece was ten inches too wide. I called Catskill Mountain Glass. They refused to come and pick up the piece of glass that they got wrong. They told me they would charge me $125 to pick up the glass. I told them it was their mistake and they needed to make it right. Then Nick (he refused to give me his last name) loudly spoke over me and said I needed to carry it back to them. I explained I was a senior citizen and physically unable to carry the glass back out to my car. I was appalled that he didn’t want to help make his mistake right. I said I would compromise and pay half his fee-$62.50, to resolve the situation. He refused and hung up on me. Now I have a piece of glass which cost me $123.50 that I have to throw away. Don’t use this business. They are rude and unethical.
DO NOT PAY THEM WITH A CREDIT CARD!!! THEY RETAIN THE CC INFORMATION AND RUN UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS!!! They installed a storefront door on one of our commercial projects. We paid them 50% up front, with the other 50% due upon proper completion. We paid the first half with our company purchasing card. During the install they damaged the metal building in several areas. The install itself was extremely poorly done with hardware that had random finishes that clearly did not match. We emailed them for someone to address the issues with the install. Instead of responding to our concerns, they decided to just charge our card for their final payment without authorization!!!!! And to nobody's surprise, THEY REFUSE TO CORRECT THE ISSUES!!!!
I rarely leave negative reviews, and before I do so now I have to say that the young woman behind the counter was particularly pleasant and friendly. However - I purchased a piece of glass from them two weeks ago and paid what I thought was a steep price, but they're convenient so when I needed the same size piece again today I again ordered it from them. This time, however, they charged me half again what they charged last time and declined to change the price when I pointed it out to them. The price I paid last time was already considerably higher than what I could have gotten it for about 10 minuted further away.
Owner/Manager does not return calls or messages, if staff even relays said message. We were looking to sublet a rather large job to this company, however after sending an email and two weeks of calling to follow up on a price quote only to get the same "my boss isn't here" line each time I called - we ultimately decided to go through another vendor. When a potential customer is shopping around for a $15k or more job, you'd think management would promptly return a phone call
