This time I’ve been here over two hours (1pm appt) and will be waiting at least another 30 mins, if I’m lucky. They didn’t even start until 2:30. They haunt you with texts and emails about being on time, but don’t bother telling me when I do arrive on time that they are running behind because they’re short handed. And yes the lady behind the desk was snarky and only told me they were short staffed because I suggested they started the car well after my appt time. Lots of other places to go for this service. Do yourself a favor and avoid Louis Autoglass. This was an insurance claim $100 ded

October 2, 2025- Windshield replacement was an insurance claim. Advised to drop off by 9:30 am and should be ready between 4-5pm. My car wasn’t moved from the spot I parked it til 4:30pm and wasn’t done until 6:30pm. The snarky front desk clerk ensured me it would be done by 5:30 (their closing time), when I asked around 4:20 if there was enough time for the change and recalibration of driver assist equipment.

UPDATE: October 19, 2025- I had to pull over on I-5 in the middle of a downpour doing 70mph because my passenger side windshield wiper arm had dislodged from the motor. The technician never torqued down the wiper arm nut!! Thankfully, I didn’t lose the entire arm or nut. I managed to push the arm down and tighten the nut as much as I could and drove the rest of the 300 mile trip back north.

I DO NOT recommend Louis Auto Glass/Safelite in Mount Vernon!!! You’ll get some half-a$$ed repair done and they’ll gladly take your money without hesitation. Go somewhere else, people!!

Set an appointment to replace windshield and waited a week for appointment. Went in to have it removed and replaced only to wait four hours. Went to look at vehicle to find interior in disarray. Glass on floor boards and dash dirty with debris and new windshield not cleaned thoroughly. Interior kick plates were stood on and dirty possible scratched. Dash camera removed and not re installed. I asked prior about the dash cam and was told “ no problem “ to reinstall. Asked desk personnel about cam not installed only to be confronted by manager which he wanted to argue about it. Went inside to pay only to be reproached by manager who wanted to continue arguing! Pd bill and canceled another vehicle appointment for next day. Took pictures and will pursue complaints about the unprofessional service.
Certainly didn’t expect this situation as a repeat customer! Rude and unprofessional.
After looking again at vehicle the drivers interior pillar trim was sliced and cut by razor blade and found paint chips on hood and top of car next to windshield.
