Recent reviews frequently mention clear communication, precise measurements, and crews that are respectful and tidy on site. Homeowners report smooth whole-home window replacements and successful installations of large patio and multi-panel doors. Several note projects completed on schedule and good coordination with other trades. A minority of feedback cites a disappointing post-sale experience, suggesting consistency can vary.

I’m writing this review because my experience with this store has been extremely disappointing, especially given how good the initial impression was.

When I first came in to order a window, everything felt great. The staff (John in particular) was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They helped me select the right Andersen A-Series window, guided me through sizing and appearance, and answered my questions confidently. Based on that experience—and the many positive reviews—I felt reassured and placed my order on November 11.

I was told the estimated lead time was 3–4 weeks. I specifically chose this store over Home Depot for the exact same product because Home Depot’s ETA was December 28, and I was hoping to get the window earlier. Based on the 3–4 week estimate, I arranged my contractor’s schedule and coordinated other renovation work accordingly.

That’s when everything started to fall apart.

On December 11—exactly four weeks after placing the order—I called to check on the status, only to be told that the window was actually scheduled for January 6. I was informed that the original ETA “didn’t take the holidays into consideration.” This was never mentioned upfront, and the delay was completely unexpected. By this point, I had already committed to worker schedules and ended up losing money due to the gap and rescheduling.

I asked if they could contact the manufacturer to see if anything could be done to expedite the order. I was told they would call and get back to me. They never did. I followed up three separate times, on different days, and still never received a callback.

Eventually, I accepted the delay, the inconvenience, and the financial loss—chalked it up to my own lack of experience and tried to move on.

On January 6, I called again and was told the window was expected to arrive on January 7, and that I would be called once it arrived. They also mentioned they still needed to confirm delivery timing with dispatch. To avoid further delays, I even offered to have my workers pick it up myself.

Then on January 7, I called again—only to be told the window was now backordered, did not arrive on the truck, and was pushed back again to January 14.

At this point, I’ve completely lost trust.

Every date I was given turned out to be unreliable. Every time I planned around their information, it changed. I’ve now sent my workers away again. I honestly don’t even know if January 14 is real anymore.

What’s most frustrating is how different the experience was after payment compared to the initial consultation. Once the order was placed, communication dropped off, callbacks never happened, and I felt ignored rather than supported. This is completely at odds with the professionalism that initially convinced me to choose this store—and with the glowing reviews I read beforehand.

This process should not be this difficult. I’ve spent weeks dealing with uncertainty, lost time, financial impact, and constant back-and-forth, all because of shifting information and lack of accountability. I’m exhausted and deeply disappointed.

I wanted to trust this company. Instead, I’m left wondering why I’m being treated this way and whether my order will ever arrive as promised.

Andersen vs Anderson

We had gotten a quote from 'Renewal by AndresEn' a few months ago and it was jaw dropping. Huge amount of money for only 3 windows.

My neighbor suggested reaching out to 'AndersOn Window and Door'. For the same price, they replaced all 15 windows in our house and a sliding glass door. John was amazing to work with, answered all our questions and his crew was great!! So professional and respectful. One of the crew even took a few minutes to fix a sticking door that was not part of the project.

I cannot recommend Anderson Window and Door enough. Renewal by Andersen...not so much ??

In 1993, we added a 2nd story to our home. At the time we did not have the funds to upgrade the existing single pane windows downstairs to energy efficient double pane. After postponing it for decades, in the Spring of 2023, we decided to do the replacement. After a few interviews, we settled on Anderson Window and Door Installation.
The original look was very dated (see tan & cream picture ) with heavy border boards (called Belley Boards) wrapping the house. Since John’s team was already doing some construction to resize the window openings, we asked if they could also remove the ugly Belly Boards and heavy wood trim everywhere.
John was extremely accommodating and his team…wow… great guys. They understood exactly what we wanted… basically a craftsman look. They suggested the 2 inch beading across the sheets of plywood to break up the large expanses of T8 Plywood and achieved the perfect look we wanted to achieve.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Anderson Windon and Door Installation. Quality of every step was above and beyond excellent and his price was VERY Reasonable.
Bob & Deb Frostholm

I had a great experience with Anderson Window and Door. We had purchased a large trifold outside door and two regular outside doors. They came and made very careful measurements, ordered the doors, which arrived sooner than expected, and did a smooth installation. They have been in and working well for over a year now. I will definitely contact them again if I need another new door or window.

The job was to replace all my windows and doors in conjunction with replacing all the insulation, sheathing, and siding on the house and garage. The windows were top of the line Andersen Windows. John and his guys did a fantastic job integrated his installation with the siding contractor to complete the overall remodel project in a timely and efficient manner. John’s crew were true craftsmen with the removal and installation of 17 windows and 6 doors in about 2 weeks. I would highly recommend Anderson Window and Door
