Went there to buy Tucsan stone. Was showed a multi page brochure with 3 sizes: 12x8x4, 8x8x4, and 4x8x4. They guy brought out samples of the large (12×8x4) and the small (4x8x4). Perfect stuff for my large fire pit! Went home. Spent maybe 5 hours designing a very cool fire pit. About 200 bricks of the 3 sizes. Went to buy the stones. Oops. They don't supply the middle (8x8x4) size. Nor do they have any alternatives. Would had been nice if the guy would had mentioned that.
They are like your average supply house, good with customer service at first but with time ordering process slow down and materials have quality issues at times which would eventually be replaced but is still an inconvenience while replace materials. Still very friendly group of people better than a lot of others out there.
This store is an excellent choice for those seeking natural and cultured stone, including general and subcontractors. It offers a diverse selection of stone and other outdoor materials, complemented by outstanding customer service.
Mutual materials is more expensive than other stores in the same business and there is a long waiting time for delivery. I just ordered material from another store at a lower price and better (read honest) customer service.I recently had a really bad experience with them. They weighed the material with the pallet and charged me for the pallet but I did not buy the pallet. When I brought it to their attention that I was charged extra 45-50 lbs for the pallet the store manager was not even ready to hear my concern. More then loosing money I felt bad about their treatment of customers. The person who loaded flagstones in my vehicle knew that I did not take the pallet but the manager did not bother to check either with the billing person or with the loading person. And the language/tone he used was not professional. I am not going to this store ever and DO NOT recommend it to anyone.I am giving one star because that is the lowest option here.
We did two projects in the last 7 months with Chris Hall and Mutual Material one was a back yard remodel with retaining walls and the other a patio upgrade at our restaurant 520 Bar& Grill. There were a lot of details and hoops to jump through and with the help from Chris everything arrived on time. Chris had a lot of good ideas on how we could make things better and how to use the right stone on each project. Thank you Chris for the best service possible JB
