Flooring RVA recently installed all new hardwood flooring in our bedrooms, and replaced our stairway carpet/runner. Tyler assisted us in this process and was phenomenal from the beginning. He reached out at every step of the process, and also gave us personal recommendations on material, color, etc. One star removed for lack of communication with scheduling our carpet installs that occurred with someone else there. Other than this hiccup, the installers work efficiently to get the job done in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Flooring RVA, and use them again. Ask for Tyler if you go.

I’ve had multiple floors put in over the past 10 years and this has been not only the BEST experience from ordering to implementation but also the best price AND quality floor I’ve ever had. The crew was downright amazing. They worked efficiently and had my entire 2600 square food house done in two days. They didn’t cut ANY corners from sealing the bathroom to making sure all the new shoe mold was caulked properly. There wasn’t a plank out of place. Folks, I cannot stress this enough, use this company for all of your flooring needs. The owner, Robert Fletcher is a man of great character and a man of his word and he checked in daily to make sure everything was going as planned. That isn’t common with businesses these days. This company has won my business for life and I will praise them for as long as I live. Thank you so much Flooring RVA for really doing such a phenomenal job!

I want to give a huge shout out to Robert Fletcher and his install teams for helping us with our project to help a family member. We were going to use a flooring company in Mechanicsville until meeting Robert. The other flooring company wanted us to do the work of removing the old flooring and they were charging more! They were supposed to
call me with the estimate but I didn’t hear from them until I called and asked them for their cost. They definitely didn’t want or need our business. Robert and his team came to our rescue. Give him an opportunity to help you with your project! They showed up on time, were professional and courteous. Will definitely use them again!

10/29/25 Final Update:
A 1 star review has turned into a 5. In fact I would have done more than 5 if I could. We did hit a snag because MOHAWK no longer makes the same material/configuration (hmm, wonder why).

Robert and the Flooring RVA team searched warehouses for old inventory to find the same product so that he could replace the deteriorated areas. Shout out to the installers Christian and his team, the floor looks brand new again.

MOHAWK is very lucky to have companies using their products like Flooring RVA who step in when their manufacturer warranty will not, but should. I will continue to recommend Flooring RVA as a great home flooring provider.

Thank you for making this right for my family.

Project 1: Great Success. Removed carpet and added vinyl laminate flooring to Master Bedroom in 2015. Has held up well as advertised. Referred them to 2 different people including immediate family, both were more higher end projects than this one.

Project 2: Replacing upstairs carpet with vinyl laminate, covering hardwood downstairs with same laminate.
- A little over 2 years of regular use (see pictures), multiple areas are coming up and bowing. They look terrible.

Started contact in December 2024, while shopping Project #3 with them. They come out and look at the problem areas, submit pictures, send to manufacturer. The manufacturer finally came out in May and sent a third party inspector.

I get in touch today to learn that the inspector and manufacturer (MOHAWK) both agree it is not their fault and at this point I am 9+ months out.

Come to find out they no longer make that flooring and the flooring tiles they do make now have a different latch mechanism so I would have to replace the entire room at my own cost. I will never use MOHAWK products again because of this, and I'm hoping Flooring RVA will help make this right.

My experience with Flooring RVA was disappointing, especially after the initial scheduling and visit to their showroom.

1. The Estimate
Flooring RVA was quick to schedule a measurement appointment for replacing the floors in my entire home. However, it took over two weeks to receive an estimate. On the contrary, once I accepted the proposal, they charged me the full project amount the same day—despite communications stating only a 75% deposit would be required upfront. If there are indeed different deposit requirements for customers using promotional financing, I would have appreciated being informed of those PRIOR to being charged.

2. The Install
The workmanship left much to be desired. There are several areas in the house with small gaps between planks of laminate flooring. I paid a premium for high-quality, waterproof laminate, but gaps between planks that would allow liquids to seep in between defeats the purpose.

I specifically asked Robert, the owner, about the manufacturer's requirements to seal the perimeter of the flooring to maintain warranty eligibility. We agreed during install they would seal the perimeter of wet areas and it was written into the contract. Three tubes of silicone caulk were delivered along with the rest of the materials. These tubes of caulk sat unused as shoe molding was installed in the bathroom. When I inquired with the crew about sealing the flooring, I was met with frustration. Their solution was to haphazardly apply caulk to the outside of the molding which does meet the warranty requirements. I’ll have to remove the molding, properly seal the perimeter, and re-install the molding myself.

The contract also stated that nail holes in the molding would be filled. This was not done as also mentioned in another customer's review.

3. After Install
I was charged $700 for the removal and resetting of two bathroom vanities and a dishwasher. However, during the installation, these items didn’t need to be removed. I requested a refund for these charges and Flooring RVA happily obliged, but it took a month and two additional follow-ups to finally get it processed.

Edit to Original Review: The owner, Robert, sent another crew out to re-do the trim in the wet areas and seal with caulk.
