Amazing, friendly staff that has always assisted me quickly and professionally with any questions I've had about the building process.
First, I am happy to have closed and bought a new home HOWEVER I have been in my newly built home for 4 days and am finding significant flaws NOT to mention work I was told was completed at closing was not. When addressed I was told they would just take care of it at the 60 day follow-up. I was given the standard size for 9 of the windows in the upstairs 35x64. Seems simple enough HOWEVER only 3 of them are actually squared up properly, we can not pull our blinds all the way down because it narrows at the bottom on 6 of the windows. This is not something an inspector would have noticed or noticeable from just looking at them. There are several spots that on the walk through we pointed out where the painting was done sub-par around light covers and that was never resolved. There are 3 locations where stuff was filled with putty, sanded, then NOT painted (all of these were pointed out on the walk through and not fixed). The fact that I closed, was told it HAD been fixed, found out it was in fact NOT, and then was shoved off the same day I made a $340k purchase is very upsetting. Aesthetically I can vouch that they built a beautiful home however, I am concerned about what I can't see. Will keep the post updated as we continue on this journey .Update 1 (and 1 star added)- I have submitted all my concerns to the builder and they have began to work on them promptly. I began to have a drainage issue due to all the rain we have had this year and within a week of reporting the standing water in my yard Herbert Homes had their landscaper at my house and the issue resolved. I will be meeting with the builder next week to discuss the previously mentioned issues in this review and will update as necessary.
Herbert Homes is such a great homebuilder. They go above and beyond to take care of their customer! If you are looking for a builder, then Herbert Homes is a perfect choice!
