D.R. Horton Inc

I moved here in November 2021 and I still have holes in my walls, missing shades, wires sticking out of the wall in two bedrooms and others things. I spoke with Ms. K.G and she was going to make sure the work was completed well that was back in December 2021. I called her last week she informed me that everything was closed and she thought the work was completed. She advised me to go back on the warranty page and complete it again so she could get someone to finish the work. I have yet to hear from here and my home repairs are still not done.
I'm so disappointed!!!!

There is a HORRIBLE SERVICE WARRANTY WORKER named ANGEL BRADEN. She has caused so many homeowners homes fall apart and delay trades (work repairs) to be performed because she is unprofessional, mismanaged and lacks the ability to do her job by choice. It’s very unfortunate that this worker has caused a massive law suit and home repairs to not get completed entirely and or properly. She has no care for the home builder and loves to delay the matter with excuses entirely. She does not pay attention. She falsifies documents. She sees no need or reason to do her job thoroughly. It may be D.R. Horton is paying her to do the least (minimal). It was my understanding before purchase D.R. Horton prides themselves in excellent customer service. Working with Angel Braden I question why the home owner is being pushed off and treated so poorly.

We bought a house here in May 2019. The first week we were here we lost power to the master bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet, living room and back porch. We called dr Hortons emergency line, after all it was only a week old, and we were told we had to go online and file a warranty request. We did that and when they called TWO days later we were told it’s not an urgent matter and it would be over a week before someone would come out and fix it. When asked how we were expected to live In a house in June, in arizona with no power to our bedroom and living room. They suggested running extension cords from the part of the house that did have power. Then our brand new air conditioning unit just stopped working and they said they’d schedule someone to come out after the weekend. In July in Arizona!! I argued with them until they agreed to send a Tec that night. Our doorbell also broke around that time they refused to replace it because we used a different alarm company then they suggested claiming the Tec could have damaged it when installing our system. He of course never touched it since it was on the wall at the top of the ceiling. And when my husband checked it to replace it he realized it had been installed wrong. Our cupboard in the kitchen has been cracked and we put in a warranty request 3 months ago and it has yet to be replaced. And the real kicker is the day after Xmas after days of down pour and having family staying in our guest room we found out we have a leak in the roof. They sent a guy out on the 28th we found out where the leak was cut a huge hole in the wall ripped up the carpet and the Matt and put a fan in the room to dry the wall. But did not do anything to stop the leak. And never heard from anyone until the following week when someone called and asked if we were happy with the repairs. Uhhhh no nobody repairs anything and are family member had to sleep in a room that was torn apart and smelled. They sent someone to fix the roof two days later but they haven’t scheduled any actual repairs. And now they are saying they aren’t going to replace the carpet that’s stained and smelly from the leak. DO NOT BUY A HOUSE IN COPPER BASIN FROM DR HORTON. it’s not just us the Neighbor two houses down has been having trouble with their electrical. There’s so many more things wrong that were supposed to be fixed before we moved in. And we’ve never seen or heard from those people that did our walk through. This was our first home buying experience and they have ruined it for us. Don’t let them do that to your family.

Be careful if purchasing as these homes do not come with television nor phone outlets in any other room other than the living room. What you see is what you get, no additions or deletions. Only if you want a smaller brand new home would I look at these places. Much better value elsewhere in the valley.
