Salem Heating had installed furnace when the house was originally built and in 2009 added heat pump. Had them come for checkups. But we knew system was getting old. We decided to consider replacing heat pump. Got a few estimates. Scott was the best in CLEARLY showing us why we would need to replace both furnace and heat pump and not try to jenga something together. Cost was competitive. They fit our schedule for the install. Was a two day job. Ed was here ahead of time for precise measuring and planning so no surprises. He further confirmed what Scott had advised. They were not at all pushy. Randy & Jeff were on time both days. They were considerate of our spaces. The job went smoothly, finished on time and the workmanship appears top-notch. They even helped us reprogram our Nest thermostat. Works very well!

I would like to commend Salem Heating and Sheet Metal for the excellent job they did in replacing our 25-year-old HVAC system, which was a complex and challenging system. I quoted three well-known HVAC companies that serve Salem, and ultimately worked closely with Salem Heating and Sheet Metal, as well as another company, to finalize the details for a comprehensive system quote. In the end, Salem Heating and Sheet Metal had the best proposal, both in terms of price and specifications (you can’t go wrong with Lennox, and the specs were amazing). The services provided by Salem Heating and Sheet Metal, which included sales/quoting, system redesign, installation, and customer service/follow-up, were all outstanding. Additionally, Scott, who handled the sales aspects, secured an unexpected $2,000 rebate after the sale was completed, and Emily at the front desk diligently ensured that we received an additional rebate. We are thankful for the great job and excellent customer service that the folks at Salem Heating and Sheet Metal did for us.
Had a great overall experience with this company. Scott was able to give us an estimate for adding central AC to our old 1930’s era house. His estimate was great because we had options from the bare minimum unit to the Cadillac unit in the Lennox line and he did a great job explaining the difference in the units. We chose the mid-tier unit that met all our needs but didn’t break the bank.Ed came out to do a measure up and was fast, efficient, and on time. He explained all the work that would be completed and even identified some minor preexisting issues with our furnace and filter setup that he offered to have fixed while the install was occurring.On day of installation, Mike and Rick showed up on time and got to work right away. We also had the electrical work done and their contract worker was also great and efficient. All the work was completed by the afternoon and we had working AC by lunchtime! All the work was done professionally and looks fantastic.When looking around, we did come across other companies that charged less, but we were happy to pay a bit more for high-quality work with high-quality equipment being installed. We couldn’t be more pleased and we highly recommend this company.
